Face tight resource constraints, environmental pollution, ecosystem degradationgrim situation, the party’s eighth report clearly states:"We must establish respect fornature, harmony with nature, protecting the natural concept of ecological civilization,the construction of ecological civilization in a prominent position, into economicconstruction, political construction, cultural construction, social construction and allaspects of the whole process, and strive to build a beautiful China, the Chinese peopleto achieve sustainable development."How to deal with the ecological crisis hasbecome a common topic of concern to the whole of mankind closely. Review of theecological crisis have prompted the development of the human person and the natureof history, re-examine the relationship between man and nature. Based on theecological ideas of Marx’s philosophy, the real reflection of the plight ofEnlightenment rationality and the ecological crisis, from the theoretical and practicalway to seek the way forward up the possibility of overcoming the ecological crisiswill undoubtedly have important theoretical and practical significance.Development of contemporary ecological crisis and Enlightenment rationalityare inextricably linked. Enlightenment rationality led to the reversal of instrumentalrationality, and instrumental rationality is an important cause of wanton contemporaryecological crisis; ecological crisis is essentially instrumental rationality and valuerationality imbalance is the relationship between man and nature, the tension, thevalue of the lost and humanity lost. Despite the ecological problems of the times inwhich Marx obviously not as good as this in today’s world, Marx also no systematicresearch on specific ecological problems, but in Marx’s writings, does containprofound ecological philosophy. Marx’s ecological philosophy for us to reflect on theplight of Enlightenment rationality and contemporary ecological crisis provides animportant idea. From the Marxist point of view of ecological thinking, rationalEnlightenment rationality itself, the problem is not just that, but mainly rational basison which living conditions, namely human existence. Therefore, we must adhere torational criticism of enlightenment from the practice of human existence as a way ofstarting to realize the integration of instrumental rationality and rational value, inorder to achieve the return of human nature. Address contemporary ecological crisis, in theory, we should be guided byMarxism-ecological ideas to build ecological rationality, in order to achieveenlightenment rational criticism and reconstruction; in practice must adhere toMarxism as the guiding philosophy of nurturing eco ecological way of life, achievechange and return to the way of human existence.
