For the purpose of obtaining high purity and high yield of totalflavonoids and total triterpenoids from loquat flower, its preparation technology hasbeen studied.Single factor experiment and L9(34) orthogonal experiment were carriedout to determine the optimal purification conditions.By comparing the impact ofvarious drying methods for products, the optimum drying condition was obtained.Antitussive effect of sample prepared by this method and the stability of powder andcapsules of loquat flower were also investigated.The optimum conditions for purification of flavonoids and triterpenoids fromloquat flower were obtained by orthogonal tests as follow:with D-101macroporousadsorption resins: sample volume was2g, elution rate was2BV/h, adsorption timewas8h, elution volume was4BV.Under these conditions,the content of flavonoidswas73.11%, the yield was72.92%and the content of triterpenoids was15.89%, theyield was45.01%. With D-101macroporous adsorption resins: sample volume was2.5g, elution rate was2BV/h, adsorption time was4h, elution volume was3BV.Underthese conditions,the content of flavonoids was74.82%, the yield was76.56%and thecontent of triterpenoids was15.57%, the yield was46.48%.Various kinds of drying methods were studied.By comparing the effects of ovendrying, vacuum drying, freeze drying, spray drying methods on content and yield ofpurified samples, it proves that the best drying methods is vacuum drying which canimprove the content and yield of flavonoids and triterpenoids from purified samplesand save time.Drying temperature was45℃, drying time was10h, flavonoids contentwas76.07%, the yield was77.87%, triterpenoids content was15.89%, the yield was 47.09%and the moisture content was4.07%.The stability of powder and capsules were studied.Factors as temperature,humidity, light were choose to investigate the impact on flavonoids and triterpenoidsof sample. The results show that only the humidity has a small impact on powder ofloquat flower. Through accelerated test and long-term test, powder and capsules ofloquat flower are relatively stable within half a year.In conclusion: A good method for preparing total flavonoids and triterpenoidswas obtained. This method is simple and low cost.After purification,the contents offlavonoids and triterpenoids were about2.5times higher than unpurifiedproducts.Antitussive effect of purified samples were better than unpurifiedsamples.Studies of preparation and stability provide an important value fordevelopment of the loquat flower pharmaceutical preparations.
