In modern industrial production, the extensive use of automation equipment gradually replaced the manual operation. In the cutting field, nowadays,pipe cutting equipments in the market have more or less shortcomings, this paper first analyzes the different types of pipe cutting equipments’advantages and disadvantages, and according to the current situation presents a design of automatic plasma pipe cutting equipment to small and medium size pipeline. In this paper author research and design the control system for automatic plasma pipe cutting equipment by researching the characteristics of automatic plasma pipe cutting equipment’s mechanical structure.Control of speed is the core problem of design of control system for automatic plasma pipe cutting equipment after researching the plasma cutting,whether the process parameters of plasma cutting machine matched cutting speed or not,directly affect the cutting quality,control of speed is the core and key technology of the control system design of plasma pipe cutting machine.According to the automatic plasma pipe cutting machine, and the project principal requirements on the control system of cutting machine,author designs the control system of the automatic plasma pipe cutting machine,and the various components and modules are analyzed and the selection.In order to reduce the cutting machine function and the greatest degree of the production cost,select the STC12C5A60S2as its core;select DC motor and gear bank as driving of the automatic plasma pipe cutting machine;select Hall sensor as the DC motor speed feedback module,forming a closed loop control; select rotary encoder and key coordinated the display module as the channel of inter active;design low voltage detection circuit, watchdog and other necessary features in industrial control at last, to ensure the stability of the control system.In the aspect of hardware design,the paper expounds the principle diagram of control system, including the MCU minimum system,DC motor drive module,Hall sensor speed acquisition module,rotary encoder input module,LCD display module, low voltage detection module;the cutting machine mechanical structure size design of the PCB, the electromagnetic compatibility analysis of PCB,expounds the PCB the layout structure,layout principle and bypass decoupling capacitor arrangement etc..In software design, the closed loop control system of DC motor digital discrete PID control system are analyzed,and build the mathematic model of the used motor,select DC motor and gear bank as driving of the automatic plasma pipe cutting machine;select Hall sensor as the DC motor speed feedback module,forming a closed loop control; select rotary encoder and key coordinated the display module as the channel of inter active;design low voltage detection circuit, watchdog and other necessary features in industrial control at last, to ensure the stability of the control system.and simulate the mathematic model by SIMULINK.Adjust the proportion coefficient,integral coefficient and differential coefficient by analysising the result.Achieve the preparatory work for testing.
