Dibutyl Phthalate is an important phthalic acid esters, mainly used as a plasticizer. Withthe increasing use of plastic production, a large number of PAEs into the soil environment. When PAEs is more than a certain content in soil, it will have an impact on corps and soilconditions. Cadmium pollution is widespread and serious of all heavy metal contamination inthe soil. Due to the high bio-availability of cadmium, it is easy to accumulate in theagricultural products. Cadmium pollution is at the top of all heavy metals. In nature, there isno absolute sense of the single pollution and the contamination associated with multiple andcomprehensive. Composite pollution has become a hot research area. The study investigatedthe effect of physiological index in brassica campestris and soil enzyme activity under DBPand Cd. Main research results are as follows:(1)The germination rate of rape does not change significantly. The combined action ofDBP and Cd is lower than a single action.(2)Activities of antioxidant enzymes is gradually increasing in low concentrations ofDBP and then decreasing in high concentrations. The low concentrations DBP and Cdpromote the activity of antioxidant enzymes. But the high concentration of DBP and Cdinhibited the activity. The activity of SOD,POD was lower in the combined action than asingle action under the DBP. The add of Cd inhibit the activity of SOD, POD. The inhibitoryof Cd is more serious under high concentrations of DBP. The activity of CAT under thecombined action is more than a single, Cd promote the activity of CAT.(3)The content of MDAis increasing under DBP and Cd single and combined stress, itresulting in oxidative damage. The content of MDA with combined action is more than undera single, Cd enhances the oxidative stress on brassica campestris.(4)The content of soluble protein decreased with the stress of DBP. The initialcontamination of DBP, Cd added to increases the content of soluble protein. The high concentrations of DBP,Cd added to decreased the soluble protein content. When theconcentration30mg/kg, the free proline content is highest. The low concentration of DBPinhibits the generation of free proline and the combined action of DBP and Cd inhibit thegeneration of free proline.(5)DBP stimulated urease activity. Under the combined action, the effect of ureaseactivity was not significant in the low concentration of DBP and higher concentrations inhibiturease activity.(6)The low concentrations of DBP promot the activity of invertase and catalase. Athigh concentrations of DBP have the role of inhibition to the activity. The combined effects ofDBP and Cd stimulated invertase activity. Under the combined action, the low concentrationsof DBP is no significant effect on catalase activity, high concentrations of DBP inhibits theactivity. The combined effects of catalase activity is lower than a single action of DBP.(7)The activity of urease, invertase, catalase under the combined action is less than asingle action of DBP less in general.
