With the depleted of quartz raw ore—natural crystal resource, it isimminent to explore raw minerals alternative crystal quartz. Usuallyformed by the special natural conditions, the symbiosis of quartz andfeldspar minerals, are more likely to produce high purity quartz sandthrough flotation, thus replacing natural crystal. The structural of quartzand feldspar is similar, flotation can separate the both. Fluoride couldpollute the environment, acidic condition could cause the equipmentsevere corrosion, therefore, this paper focus on flotation of quartz andfeldspar using the collectors in the neutral and alkaline conditions(without introducing fluorine ions), and find the best pharmaceuticalformulations and the impact of the law to provide theoretical researchfor gaining high purity quartz sand raw.The research included three aspects,flotation test of single mineral,flotation test of quartz mineral as well as reagents and mineralmechanism.The flotation tests of Single mineral showed that it can preferentialflotation of feldspar, when granularity of quartz and feldspar controlledat-0.075+0.025mm, the collector was0.15×10-3mol/L, activator was0.06mol/L, inhibitors was0.6mol/L.Test results of mineral flotation showed that: it could increase gradeof ore of quartz by57.3%57.3%on the actual mineral flotation testthrough combination of flotation process basic can achieve high purityquartz sand quality standards.The action mechanism of reagents and mineral showed that sodiumhexametaphosphate can remove quartz surface absorbed by sodium oleicacid under neutral conditions. And feldspar surface absorbed by sodiumoleic acid can be used as a point of anionic active adsorption aminecollector twelve amine hydrochloride, improve the hydrophobicity offeldspar. Quartz surface showed negative charge under alkalineconditions. adding metal ions, quartz surface potential can be improved,it promoted the adsorption of anionic collector SAS, and increased thehydrophobicity of quartz. It can be determined, Ca(OH)+, Mg(OH)+, Al(OH)2+is the main active ingredient that activate flotation of quartz inthe system of anionic collector dodecyl sulphate.
