This article mainly research the Nixing pottery’s product process and performance influenced by fly ash and slag powder, include the forming performance, the drying access, the sinter access and Nixing pottery products performance. Via tube sinking method and drying of subsidence curve research the Nixing pottery blank liquidity and drying characteristics influenced by mineral admixtures content,based on the phenomenon that drying shrinkage and weightlessness stooped not synchronization, find a method to determine ceramic dry blank porosity. via true density and surface density research the sintered bodies porosity’s change, use mechanical testing machine and Vivtorinox hardness to test sintered body’s mechanical properties, and via petrography analysis the change of the sintered bodies micro hole ratio and residual mineral admixture quantity, draws the following conclusion:(1) Fly ash and slag powder can reduce liquidity of the Nixing pottery’s blank paste, and the effect is more and more significant with the increasing admixture content (from1-5%), so it is not conducive to the flow molding of Nixing pottery blank, and the slag powder effect is more obvious. But fly ash content less than1%will raise the liquidity of Nixing pottery’s blank. (2) Fly ash and slag powder can significantly improve the drying process of Nixing pottery blank, the blank’s weight loss and size shrinkage on drying accelerating with the increase of the admixture content(from1-5%), but the acceleration effect will decrease with the increasing of additive content.(3) Nixing pottery blank’s shrinkage process ends is prior to weight loss process ends, it is relevant to water evaporation during the drying process and particle structure, from the two process’end point time can obtain the weight loss rate of Nixing pottery blank, and gain the Nixing pottery stem blank porosity, and a new method for the determination of ceramic dry blank porosity is presented.(4) The incorporation of fly ash and slag powder after burning seriously affected the Nixing pottery strength. With increased volume from2%to10%, sintered body’s strength sintered at1200℃is totally lower than sintered at1070℃. In addition, the results of the analysis showed that the fly ash lower the Nixing pottery firing temperature effect is better than that of slag powder. Besides, the surface hardness of Nixing pottery products will improve with the increase of sintering temperature.(5) At the sinter temperature of1070℃,2%fly ash content can make Nixing pottery product porosity decreased slightly, and the same sinter conditions and the same content of slag powder can make Nixing pottery product’s porosity has obviously higher than the blank sample.(6)Fly ash and slag powder incorporation can make Nixing pottery product’s petrography structure appear residual mineral admixtures, sintering environment from800℃to1070℃, the ratio increased with the increase of admixtures, but at the sintering environment of1200℃, the residual mineral admixtures almost invisible.(7)The holes are also found in the petrography structure of Nixing pottery’s product, sintering product’s porosity ratio decreased with the rise of sinter temperature under the sinter temperature of1070℃, but at the sinter temperature of1200℃, the burnt lead to the Nixing pottery product’s porosity increased. These changes are not obvious influenced by the content of fly ash and slag powder.
