Guangxi Daxin Manganese mine is the largest mineral deposit that has been proven in China. After long term of open-pit mining, the consumption of open-pit manganese mineral resources increased. The open pit mining depth and stripping ratio had increased since the construction of mining in1950s. To ensure that it would maintain the balance of its production capacity in the open pit to underground combined mining System. It should prepare to study on deep underground ore mining, which makes a smooth transition from the open into underground mining. And the slope stability is one of the technical difficulties in the combined open pit to underground mining.The slope rock is suffered the double impact from the environment of open pit and underground mining, and study on the stability which has become the primary task of Daxin Manganese mine. Carrying out study on the slope stability and seeking comprehensive treatment ways of controlling the destruction of slope instability to ensure that it is in a steady state, it makes the research of the slope stability has become the most important task Daxin Manganese mine, which it has important practical implications for Daxin Mine Safety mining. In this paper, it used the opencast slope in Daxin Manganese as the research object. It discussed the engineering geological conditions of slope open pit of Daxin Manganese mine in detail, it tested the physical and mechanical properties of rock slope, summarized the factors that affected the stability of open pit rock slope, and elaborated the slope failure mechanism and joint instability failure mode in open-pit and underground combined mining system. According to the actual situation and the need for the slope stability study, it selected reasonable parameters to calculate the stability of open pit rock slope. It described the open-air blasting vibration characteristics and its disaster, and it theoretically analyzed the impact of blasting vibration on the stability of the slope. It gave the safety criterion of blasting excavation in the slope stability. It used the numerical simulation software FLAC3D to build three-dimensional model of the Daxin Manganese slope and to carry on the slope stability analysis of numerical simulation. It turned out that it has improved the reliability of slope stability analysis in some way in some way. In terms of monitoring the stability of slope, protection and control measures, it proposed the slope failure prediction and controlling measures.
