Over the years, the development of functional complex has obtained the attentionof people, the development of modern technology also provides the development ofthe complexes with convenience. At the same time, the modern industrial applicationsof functional complexes are also put forward to the urgent request. In particular, in thefield of catalysis, such as the oxidation of olefins: olefin polymerization, alkanescatalytic oxidation, the aromatics oxidation, etc.. As a result, the development andpreparation of various new complexes also take to the fast lane. Among this, themaking use of carboxylic acid or containing N ligands with different metal ions thatreaction to syntheses new coordination polymer,particularly have caught the attentionof the large chemical workers. This article selects the two ligands, one kind of ligandsis6-(pyrid-4’-yl)-1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (H2pybdc) which containing tworelative carboxylic acid, which we make use of, with several kinds of metal ions byhydrothermal reaction, and obtain five different coordination polymer1,2,3,4,5;Another one is1,1’-(1,3-propane)bis-(2-methylbenzimidazole)(Pbmb) whichcontaining two imidazole ring in the two terminals, the introduction of auxiliaryligand of various kinds of carboxylic acid and in the method of hydrothermal, wehave obtained seven kinds of coordination polymer6,7,8,9,10,11,12, based on theanalysis and summary of synthetic methods and by testing their structure features, thispaper explores the specific situations on their properties, as follows:1.Ligand6-(pyrid-4’-yl)-1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (H2pybdc) and Zn(II),Cd(II), Pb(II), Sm(III), Cu(II) arise water thermal response respectively. The reactionof rare earth elements in Sm(III) added to auxiliary ligand (H2C2O4) oxalate, formed aone-dimensional, three two-dimensional and a three-dimensional structure, analyzesits structure, in addition to Sm(III) complexes4, the other four complexes1,2,3,5containing ligand coordination atoms of O and N can be connected with the mutualcoordination, at the same time, the complexes is also the only4in complementarydistribution formed under the action of jointly. According to the analysis, as adouble-function ligand containing carboxylic acid O and N, the ability of coordinationis one of the more powerful, and has certain repellency to another auxiliary ligand, butas a rare metal elements of Sm(III), duing to its large radius, more coordination sites,for affinity ligand O ability is stronger, the introduction of auxiliary with carboxylic acid is likely to be a bit bigger.2.Ligand1,1’-(1,3-propane)bis-(2-methylbenzimidazole)(Pbmb) in a variety ofauxiliary carboxylic acid ligands with metal ions in the presence of Zn(II), Cd(II),Co(II) water fluid formed a variety of polymer by hydrothermal reaction respectively,the ligand Pbmb is connect alkyl benzene with imidazole group, two ends of theligand atoms N can be involved in the coordination, in some sorts of auxiliarycarboxylic acid matching the coordination action, constituting a variety of structure ofcomplexes. And polymer11and12of them possess similar structure, can be seen theisomer, polymer8has a coaxial double helix chain structure similar to the DNAmolecules, complex10owns a typical one dimensional single-stranded structure. Also,it can be found that how powerful is the coordination ability under the condition of N,O coexisting, which has guided significance to the future directional design ofcoordination.3. Corresponding characterizing has been made for complexes1-12, and choosethe complexse6,7,8and12of them to make purity further verification. Afterstudying the characteristics of the parts of the complexes catalysis, in accordance withthe characteristics of several kinds of the above complexes, we make use of thepolymer6,7,8,12to participate in the corresponding catalytic reaction experimentand obtain a partof the data.
