Functional complexes have become one of the highlights in the field of the current coordination chemistry, material chemistry and inorganic biochemistry science. With multiple coordination sites, the π-π interactions between the aromatic rings and intermolecular hydrogen bonds combining the N-H group with other hydrogen acceptors, polypyridylamine ligands can be used to construct complexes of various novel supramolecular structures and special properties. In this thesis, the following two works mainly have been done:1. In this thesis, oligo-a-pyridylamino and its pyrazine substituted derivatives have been chosen as ligands to synthesize function complexes with cobalt, nikel as metal atoms. The crystal structures of the complexes have been determined and spectroscopically characterized. As the crystal structures indicated, oligo-a-pyridylamino/pyrazinamino make use of the N-H group as donor to form hydrogen bonds with the hydrogen acceptors introduced, such as SO42-, and NCS-. By multiple intermolecular hydrogen bonds and π-π interaction between the pyridyl rings,1-D、2-D and3-D supramolecular structure are constructed.2. Using water as the solvent,which is nontoxic and safe for people and environment, green synthesis of mononuclear Ni(II) complexes Ni(H2tpda)2SO4has been realized by sol-thermal synthesis method. A3-D network is formed by multiple intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the cations and the anions, in addition to π-π interactions among the pyridyl rings.3. The catalytic performance of coordination compounds3and5for the reaction of carbon dioxide and propylene oxide cycloaddition were explored. Experiments showed that they have good catalytic activity, small dosage, high efficiency, and catalytic reaction conditions are relatively mild. It provides a new way to fix CO2gas into a green chemical propylene carbonate for industrial use under mild conditions.
