The effective implementation of the gelled crude oil hydraulic suspension conveying technology is helpful to realize the energy saving in oil field. In the process, particle size and distribution regularities of crude oil, the pressure drop of oil and gas water mixture is an important flow parameter.To find out particle size distribution and the characteristic of oil and gas water pressure drop is the key of appling the gelled crude oil hydraulic suspension conveying technology.In order to develop low temperature hydraulic suspension conveying experiment, this paper remoulds a circular heat gathering and transferring system of Daqing oilfield, including adding water loop which output from water source well, installing fluidization processing unit of crude oil which is developed independently, visual glass pipe, pressure tap and temperature measuring casing. We take pictures of the gelled crude oil particles by camera technology in different experimental conditions, and measure pressure, temperature and flow rate in the meantime. Measuring the particle size by Image Pro Plus6.0, and the particle size are mainly concentrated in0.2-4mm. The gelled crude oil particle size distribution is distributed by Normal、Log-Normal and Rosin-Rammler function, and the Rosin-Rammler distribution function is the best. At the same time, we have obtained the Suater average diameter and the maximum particle diameter forecast models of the gelled crude oil. Considering all the factors influence on gelled crude oil-gas-water multiphase flow pressure drop, the pressure drop calculation model is established based on the principle of dimensional analysis and experimental data, comparing the pressure drop calculated value with test value by using the model, the relative error is less than12%. The gelled crude oil-gas-water multiphase flow pressure drop model of this paper is better apply to the gathering and transferring system pressure drop calculation which the mixture temperature is far lower than the freezing point of crude oil, total water cut is higher than95%and the oil well is continuous. The study achievement of this paper provides the necessary theoretical and technical support for the gelled crude oil hydraulic suspension conveying technology application and promotion.
