With the rapid development of elevator industry, more and more special occasionsdemand for special elevators and technical innovation for elevators is becoming more andmore obvious. One of the most typical elevators is special explosion-proof elevator. Itsapplication field includes mining, petroleum chemical industry, chemical fertilizer,perfume, powder, coating and other flammable or explosive occasion. Explosion proofmethods can be divided into mechanical explosion-proof and electrical explosion-proof.This paper makes a research about the risen temperature on friction surface ofexplosion-proof elevators.Based on the advantage of traction elevators to hoist elevators, this paper put forwardan idea of traction elevators used in coal mine or even more flammable and explosiveplaces. The most serious areas of appearing friction phenomena in each contact surface areanalysed, when the elevator is good working or emergent operating. The basic parametersof elevator are set to calculate energy loss and heat distribution ratio in this frictionphenomenon. By means of the friction analysis of contact surfaces, the heat flux density oncontact surfaces is calculated. According to the theory of temperature field, themathematical model of temperature field distribution is set up. According to the theory ofheat transfer relationship, the basic equations of heat conduction are put in this paper.By using ANSYS, a finite element analysis software, thermodynamic analysis on thefriction surface is made. The simulation results show the temperature distribution at thecontact surface. It gives a preliminary analysis to determining whether the temperaturedistribution is normal and whether it conforms to the theoretical distribution.This paper put forward a concept about applying the explosion-proof elevator to coalmine as a transportation device. It increases the transportation safety and gives a comfortcondition for staff. Based on the temperature field theory, equations of mechanical frictionsurface temperature field are solved. This is a modern design method to simulate the friction surface temperature distribution by using the ANSYS, which is a finite elementanalysis software. At the same time, it puts forward a new method for the mechanicalexplosion-proof test of explosion-proof elevator.
