Nowadays, more and more diseases are caused by un-normal blood performance. There have been billions of diabetic patients in China so far. As a result of this, thedemand for glucometer and glucometer testing sheets is increasing quickly. Themanufacturers cannot match the demand only by the old manual operation ormulti-freedom manipulators with its low working efficiency. And the vibrating plateis based on cyclical vibrating under low amplitude, so it cannot satisfy the testingsheets’ demand for exposing time. Based on the vibrating screening theory andvacuum adsorption technology, an automatic sorting and feeding system satisfyingthe packing requirements of testing sheets and dry pieces is established. The mainresearch results are as follows:(1) Based on the vibrating screening theory and vacuum adsorption technology, after analysis of the existing sheets automatic sorting of feeding device, anapplicable automatic sorting and feeding system scheme for the testing sheets anddry pieces is established. Then the overall scheme design of the sorting and feedingsystem is completed. An automatic vibrating screen is used to sort the workpieces, then vacuum nozzles adsorb them to the right piece by a round feeding mechanism.(2) Based on the screen-penetrating theory and the parameters and sortingrequirements of the testing sheets and dry pieces, the automatic sorting vibratingscreen’s structure is designed. According to the structure design, the sheets’ realscreen-penetrating probability is calculated. By increasing a cover structure andinclined sieve tray bottom, finally the workpiece through sieve rate can reach99%.To meet the sorting requirement better, the screen is developed by designing aspecial cover structure and inclined bottom. By reciprocating vibrating the screen, the final screen-penetrating probability can reach more than99%.(3) According to the feeding requirements of the testing sheets and dry pieces, combined with the sorting system and packaging machine’s constraint conditions, the feeding mechanism and pneumatic system are designed based on the vacuumadsorption theory.(4) When the feeding system uses one vacuum pump matching more than onevacuum nozzle, the vacuum nozzles cannot catch the workpieces completely for theair leakage in the pneumatic circuit. In order to solve this problem, we redesigned the structure by changing the original structure to the form of a vacuum pumpmatching a vacuum nozzle. As a result of this, the adsorption reliability of theworkpiece can reach as high as100%. And the working efficiency can be improvedby increasing the number of the vacuum pump and nozzle.(5) During the sorting test, there are many workpieces stacking in the vibratingscreen. As a result of this, the movement of driving step-motor is changed toreciprocating rotation between60°to120°. By reducing the inertial impact andensuring smooth movement, the stacked arrangement problem is eliminated. And byoptimal structure design, the testing sheets’ exposing time requirement can besatisfied without wasting workpiece. The experimental results show that the sheets’ sorting and feeding system cancompletely meet the testing sheets and dry pieces’ sorting and feeding requirementsby optimizing the system’s structure. It can satisfy the automatic, efficient, nowasting and exposing timing limited requirements. This research and design of thesheets’ automatic sorting and feeding system plays a significant role in thedevelopment of the glucometer testing sheets’ packaging industry.
