Dyeing wastewater which have high concentrations of organic pollutants, deep color and fluctuated widely of water quality and quantity, can not meet the industry discharge standard by using conventional process-"physical, chemical and biological treatment". In economically developed regions while lack of land resources,like Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, the embarrassing situation of many sewage treatment plants are faced:on the one hand, increasingly stringent wastewater discharge standards, the need for improvement of wastewater treatment process, improve the drainage water; on the other hand, industrial and urban development has led to increased emissions of wastewater year by year, many of the sewage water treatment plants peak significantly exceeds the design scale, however, limited land, has been difficult to find enough space to cope with the increasing amount of water. How to improve effluent quality with limited land resources, and even increase the processing load with several times, is a problem of the sewage plant to solve.This subject comes from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Zhejiang Province major science and technology projects (2012C03002-1)),.It is based on the research of influent quality and treatment process from wastewater treatment plant of a dye and tannery park in Zhejiang Province.The effects of the pilot-scale combined process of membrane bioreactor biological aerated filter was insteaded of the wastewater treatment plant biochemical process was stdudied, a pilot-scale biological aerated filter (activated carbon, suspended filler) was used as an advanced treatment for the biological wastewater treatment plant effluent. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) The investigation from a dye and tannery wastewater plant of Zhejiang province showed that water quality and quantity of the wastewater treatment plant volatility index fluctuations, the COD and ammonia nitrogen were fluctuated, the influent COD concentration of293-983mg·L-ammonia concentration10-30mg·L-1, and the organic matter in the influent was difficult to remove by coagulation and sedimentation.(2) A combined process of hydrolysis acidification-anoxic-membrane bioreactor-biological aerated filter was used to treatment the influent of the wastewater treatment plant. The results showed that:it can meet the A level in first grade of Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant while in load1-4times.One of the best conditions was in3times load,and COD of the effluent was26±3mg·L-1, the removal rate was95.7%.(3) GC-MS was used to analysis the influent and effluent of the pilot-scale membrane bioreactor, the results show that:the system for hardly removal of alkanes, quinolinc can all be removed, the content and type of organic molecules was reduced, the main matters in the effluent was the simple structure of small organic molecules.(4) A pilot-scale biological aerated filter (activated carbon, suspended filler) was used as an advanced treatment for the biological wastewater treatment plant effluent, the results showed that: in the same air/water ratio and influent flow rate, the removal of activated biological aerated filter for COD, color, ammonia removal, etc. are better than suspended filter biological aerated filter, can be used for upgrading and reconstruction of the wastewater treatment plant, so that effluent could meet A level effluent discharge standards.(5) The secondary effluent from the wastewater treatment plant was analysised along the biological aerated filter, activated biological aerated filter≥1800mm along the way, COD and anmonia can meet the A level discharge standard, and suspended filter biological aerated filter≥2400mm along the way can meet the A level discharge standard.
