Study On The Ecological Regulation Of River

In the regulation of river in the past, people often one-sided emphasized on the basic functions of river, such as flood protection, but neglected the ecological functions, In addition, the humans exploited rivers deucedly and lacked the concept of environmental protection, in order to the pollution of river water and the soil erosion. The environment of river was severely damaged.Firstly, this article summarizes the methods of river ecological management, according to the theories, technologies and practical information of river ecological management in the world. The methods of river ecological management are almost the same to the ones of traditional river management in the points of water supplying, dredging, interception, etc. This article comparative studies the methods of river ecological management mainly in the points of planar shapes, section forms, management of polluted water, slope forms and plant measures, and summarizes the advantages, disadvantages and scopes.Then, this article takes the governance projects of the Meng River and the Mu-tuan River for example, and researches their methods of ecological management and analyzes the cost-effectiveness. The governance projects of the Meng River and the Mu-tuan River are comprehensive governance projects, mainly in flood control, taking some ecological measures in mounds and slopes.Finally, this article concludes and proposes some suggestions of the river ecological management in the future.
