Chlorohydrin rubber is a synthetic rubber prepared by ring-opening reaction ofthe epoxidized in the presence of a catalyst. It can be divided into homopolymerrubber and copolymer rubber,and the copolymer rubber is divided into binary,ternarycopolymerization and unsaturated copolymerization type.This report has studied a lot of good literature research on the structure characterand practical application of unsaturated ternary chlorohydrin rubber,which hasinnovated and improved the synthesis method of unsaturated ternary ECO andadopted non-toluene class weak polarity non-toxic as organic solvent to prepareunsaturated ternary ECO for precipitation polymerization. Then at room temperatureunder the condition of pressure,on should find out the suitable vulcanizationaccelerator to complete the vulcanization process of unsaturated ternary ECO at lowtemperature. In addition,the coverage rubber making by ECO in the conveyor rubberhas optimized the vulcanization formula of ECO to prepare a new type of conveyorrubber with heat resistance and corrosion resistance. The main research as follows:1. Synthesis and characterization of unsaturated ternary ECOIt has investigated the influence of temperature,reaction time and solvent on theproduct; researched the structure of the product by Fourier transform infraredspectrometry; tested the stability of heat resistance of the product by WCT-2Ccomputer differential thermal balance; measured the elongation and tensile strength ofunsaturated ternary ECO by CMT6503computer-controlled electronic universaltesting machine. The product has been compared with foreign ternary rubber.2. Vulcanization of unsaturated ternary ECO at low temperatureThrough a lot of exploratory experiment and references to screen the parameterlevel,then one can use the method of orthogonal experiment and optimize thecondition of vulcanization at low temperature to find out the optimal formulationratio,pressure,vulcanization temperature and vulcanization time. After using Fouriertransform infrared spectrometry to analyze the structure of all the experimentalproducts,one can detect the feature by WCT-2C computer differential thermal balanceand then measure the mechanical properties of vulcanization rubber of all theexperimental products at low temperature by CMT6503computer-controlledelectronic universal testing machine.3. Development of a new type of conveyor rubber with corrosion resistanceThrough a large number of references,one can find out three rubber formulas:rubber formula of unsaturated ternary ECO with NBR,binary copolymer CHR andNBR and unsaturated ternary ECO with binary copolymer ECO. One can find out thebest formula by use CMT6503computer-controlled electronic universal testingmachine to test the mechanical properties of the products under different blend ratio.And then examine the influence of the best formula on vulcanization temperature andvulcanization time. Finally,one should observe the corrosion condition of theproducts under different concentration of acid, alkali and organic solvents.
