With the continuous development of the construction industry and metallurgy industry,it is often necessary to efficiently transport high-temperature materials.Therefore,research on high-temperature conveyor belts is particularly important.This article aims to broaden the temperature range of high-temperature conveyor belt and improve the aging problems that occur during its use,so as to improve the service life of high-temperature conveyor belts,save costs,and promote industrial progress and economic development.In this paper,the MVQ with excellent high-temperature resistance and aging resistance was blended with EPDM,which is often used to make covering adhesives for high temperature conveyor belt,to broaden the temperature range of the high temperature resistant conveyor belt and improve its aging resistance.In this paper,DCP is used as the main vulcanizing agent,and HVA-2 is used as a curing agent to improve the crosslinking rate of the binder,reduce the burning time and promote the formation of the crosslinking network.Adjusting the vulcanization system,when the amount of DCP is 2 and the amount of HVA-2 is 1.3 copies,EPDM and MVQ have the same burning time and the same crosslinking rate,that is,the two components have the same crosslinking rate with the same crosslinking degree,so simultaneous vulcanization can be achieved.Secondly,by introducing the in-situ reaction in the combined system,the appropriate amount of vulcanizing agent DCP is added during the process of blending with the rubber,and the in-situ reaction is performed during the heat treatment process to form a mutual cross-linked network between the two components.When the amount of DCP was 1 part,the mechanical properties of the combined rubber at room temperature increased significantly,the tensile strength increased by 11%,the elongation at break decreased,and the degree of cross-linking increased.Due to the chemical cross-linking produced by the in-situ reaction,the compatibility of the two-component combined glue is improved.During the experiment,it was found that the addition of hydrogen-containing silicone oil(PHMS)in the blend system can significantly improve the aging resistance of the blended rubber.This article explored the mechanism of the enhancement of PHMS and the aging properties.It was found that PHMS enhanced blend's aging resistance is not a chemical reaction with the rubber matrix,but because of the physical effect of the plasticized oil,which makes the adhesive material of the same crosslinking density offset to the less sulfur direction after adding PHMS,and the aging process is equivalent to secondary vulcanization.The mechanical properties of high rubber compound show a high retention rate after aging,which explains why PHMS enhances the aging resistance of adhesives.It was found that in the EPDM system,the hydrosilylation reaction of EPDM and PHMS could not be initiated by the free radicals disintegrated from DCP and heat,but the reaction can be initiated under the presence of a Custer catalyst.Due to the great difference between the EPDM and the MVQ backbone,the compatibility of the two component blends is poor.In this paper,PHMS was successfully grafted onto EPDM by hydrosilylation,and a compatibilizer with two-component rubber characteristic structure was prepared.The successful grafting of PHMS was confirmed by IR,NMR and DSC.The compatibilizer is applied to the actual formula,and the mechanical properties of the adhesive are greatly improved after adding the compatibilizer.The tensile strength is increased from the original 11.8Mpa to 16.5Mpa,which increased by nearly 40%.The elongation at break and mechanical properties after aging have not changed much.The glass transition temperature of the adhesive was measured by DMA.It was found that after adding 5 parts of the compatibilizer,the glass transition temperature of EPDM shifted toward it of MVQ from the original-34.9? to-53.7?.As a result,the compatibility of the two-component rubber is improved.At the end of this paper,the small test formula was conducted in the Wuxi Polytron Technologies Inc of the Polytron Technologies Inc,and the belt sample belt,which was in line with the industrial standard and the national high temperature resistant conveyor belt T4 standard,was prepared.
