In this thesis, the traditional Mongolian furniture structure aesthetics as the main object, and from the timber and the structure of the two main aspects of traditional Mongolian furniture expand more in-depth study. This study helps to carry out rescue and protect endangered Mongolian traditional furniture heritage. Mongolian traditional furniture materials to strengthen the protection of cultural heritage and cultural diversity of mankind is to maintain an important measure to establish cultural identity, heritage and development of Mongolian culture has important significance. The research results can not only promote the theoretical study of Mongolian traditional furniture structure, while also able to provide a basic reference to the theoretical framework for the modern Mongolian-style furniture design and manufacture.Traditional mortise and tenon joint structure is preferentially considered aboutthe basic construction of the furniture, because it is more practical, scientific and also shows charm lines. This paper will give an account of study about the material, structure and the Mongolian traditional furniture culture. Through several typical structural parts and joint mode, we will analyze several characteristics of the Mongolian traditional furniture design concept. They are about the rigid-flexible economic structure, top grade function on destinations and culturalinherit. What is more, it tells about the Mongolian traditional furniture’s design not only follows our nature, but also pursuit the humanities spirit.In order to inherit and create the Mongolian traditional furniture, we need to combine the Mongolian spirit,aesthetic ideas and the modern advanced technology together. Through my paper,I hope more and more people will have a deeper understanding of the Mongolian traditional furniture material, structure and culture, and will be impressedby the Mongolian traditional furniture.This paper mainly includes six aspects:the introduction part which talk about the the purpose and significance of the studies about the Mongolian traditional furniturestructure, the current situation about methods and research framework of it from domestic an overseas. The second part of the Mongolian traditional furniture is about the main material. In the third part it is about the Mongolian traditional furniture mechanics, function, formal aesthetic. The fourth part analyses the influence factors of the Mongolian traditional furniture culture image. The fifth part prospects on the sustainable development of the Mongolian traditional furniture. The sixth part summarize the structure, development prospects, culture, and the existing questions of the Mongolian traditional furniture.
