With the development of industrialization, the environment problem isincreasingly signally. In the field of chemical industry, the organic solvent is widelyused, which is mostly poisonous, dangerous, inflammable, explosive and so on. ionicliquid is a kind of organic solvent with special properties which is good forenvironment. More and more attentions are paid to ionic liquids because of excellentfeatures. At present, the lack of physical parameters on ionic liquids is a majorproblem, which hinders the process of application. This article is based onexperiment and simulation of viscosity on ionic liquids. The methods of measuring the viscosity of ionic liquids are studied in the article, which include experimental measurement and computer simulation. The followingare the main work content:(1) In terms of computer simulation, the principle of molecular dynamics isused to compile a set of simulation program. Compiling program is divided into twostages. Firstly, programs of the numerical simulation are compiled on viscosity ofpure substance. Secondly, based on the characteristic of typical ionic liquids, theoriginal programs are developed. When compiling program is completed, theviscosities of five kinds of typical ionic liquids are tested by the numerical simulation.Data of the numerical simulation is used to claim what to affect the viscosity of ionicliquid.(2) In terms of experimental measurement, the original viscometer is developedto fit for measurement of viscosity on ionic liquids. In order to collect experimentaldata automatically, a set of procedures are compiled in the Labview platform. Afterdebugging, viscosities of five kinds of typical ionic liquids are tested. The data isused to illustrate the performance of experimental device.
