Sugar industry has been through decades of years development, and had made considerable progress in sugar cane production scale and product quality, but compared developed countries, we were still poor in energy saving. With the internationalization of China’s sugar products market trends, how to reduce the sugar factory production costs, improve economic efficiency of enterprises, arid enhance their competitiveness had become the problems that business managers had taken into consideration. With the improvement of people’s living standards, the voices of protecting the environment were growing in response to the call of the national energy saving growing seriousness. High energy consumption and heavy pollution were bound to affect the future of the sugar industry in sustainable development.How to reduce the steam consumption in processing without affect the sugar factory’s daily production had become a hot topic. Many researches had been made both at home and abroad, some progress had been reached as well. But the interaction and optimization between evaporation, syrup heat, massecuite boiling had not been studied yet. The present study based on the thermal evaporation model, combined the steam characteristics of syrup heat and massecuite boiling, satisfied the steam demands of evaporation, heat and boiling, in the meantime found the optimizing scheme to reduce the energy loss without affect the sugar factory’s daily production.1. Analyzed the results of energy optimization in related to the evaporation system design and based on evaporation system model. The result showed that, the evaporation system mathematical model established by Huang Xiangyang had better scientific and applicability for modern evaporative system commonly used in sugar production. So his model had been selected for optimization in present study.2. After further analysis of the model he established, the model he got was based on taken evaporation system independently, without adding the steam demands of every level of syrup heat, massecuite boiling, added syrup heat, massecuite boiling as restricted conditions to the solution of the model, the resulting optimization program closer to the actual production needs.3. A mathematical optimization methods, PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) had been used which had never been used in this area, with the purpose to study the model and optimize the solution. The result showed that it was easier to fuzzy optimization algorithm and genetic optimization algorithm in concept, so it was easy to implement, with the help of computer programming, the model solution time was short and the results close to the actual production needs.4. Combined today’s sugar production scale, using the present model combined heat and sugar boiling to operate the simulation analysis and optimization. The results showed that the prioritization scheme had high reliability and provide scientific reference to production managers.
