Traction electric locomotive is in an important position in coal mine mechanical and electrical transport equipment, and at present lead-acid, battery electric locomotive is most widely used in coal mine because it has advantages of convenient use, low cost and high cost performance.Its power is derived from the lead-acid battery for power supply, it usually consists of multiple class single battery for series or parallel, and series structure is to improve the voltage of the battery, parallel structure is in order to increase the capacity of the equipment. Generally we use charging device to charge for lead-acid battery to achieve energy conversion, so work performance of the charger directly affects the working efficiency, the use of performance and reliability of the battery, etc., therefore, in recent years, the research about mine electric locomotive charger equipment has attracted extensive attention from coal mining enterprises.At present, the main problems of mine lead-acid battery charger, basically has the following several aspects:First is that it used analog control mode and made control not flexible and charging modle simplification, it is difficult to close to the best battery charging curve, which causes serious damage for the battery and energy waste. The second point is that it is difficult to satisfy the requirements of the battery capacity, make the pressure differential between the charging voltage and battery voltage too large, serious damage the battery and make the high cost of production. The third point is that the volume of charger is huge and not easy to move and transport. Aiming at technical level and characteristics of large capacity lead-acid battery charging device at the coal mine, we made technical renovation and upgrading for it and developed a new intelligent lead-acid battery charging device.Single charger can meet charging requirements of four tonnage lead-acid battery, and it made overall improvement for the current mine charger to better adapt to the demand of the coal mine equipment. Charging system adopted modular design patterns, convenient for data online detection and performance extensions, and for the maintenance of equipment operation and system development.At the same time the whole control system realized intelligent charging efficiency with the help of microcomputer, it can flexible set charging curve according to the capacity and the old or new situation of the battery, thus greatly extend the service life of the battery and to save the energy. Work in this thesis includes the following aspects:1. Comprehensive analysis of lead-acid battery charging method, the final choice conforms to the actual application situation of two phase constant current constant voltage charging mode;2. Comprehensive analysis of the design requirements of the new type of charger and its technical advantages, we made design of the main circuit and control system hardware circuit, including the data sampling circuit and protective circuit;3. In order to achieve better battery charging curve and realize intelligent chargeing, we made the design of flow chart of control system;4. Conducting site test and recording charging parameters, making comprehensive evaluation for charging technology and making suggestion for further research.
