There is a strong demand for the profile control technology in Honggang oil production plant. From the early stages of development to the present, the reservoirs in the area under administration-both the Saertu reservoir with the mid-high permeability in Honggang District, or any other low permeability and extra-low permeability reservoir-have the three contradictions (plane, inter layer and interior layer), especially the plane contradiction. The profile control technology is needed to ease the contradictions, so as to improve development effect and enhance oil recovery.Based on the analysis and summary of the effect of profile control in Honggang Oilfield during "the eleventh five-year plan", the well selection rules of the wells and layers for profile control in four aspects are proposed in the paper, the first of which is the "small well spacing and dense well pattern", the second is the "early intervention and regulation", the third is the "implementation in large areas", and the last is to keep the injection pressure with the advancement of2to3MPa. Based on the four rules, the well areas and well layers which are fit for the profile control under current conditions are optimized. By investigating the massive literatures and drawing on foreign experience in the same types of reservoirs, the optimum profile control system for Honggang Oilfield is proposed, which is "particle and gel" composite stabilizer profile control system. By analyzing the effect after profile control, four responding characteristics are determined, which are "water decreased for oil increment","water increased first and decreased afterwards for oil increment","stationary outpuf" and "water increased and yield reduction". The cause of different responding characteristics is analyzed in detail, and it guides the water injection adjustment after the profile control effectively.Based on the above work, the validity, high efficiency and long efficiency of profile control are achieved, and the development effectiveness is improved, and the recovery ratio is enhanced.
