The conventional oil and gas resources are exhausted and the demand for energy ofeconomic development is rising, which both force petroleum explorationists to explore newareas of oil and gas energy. In recent years, the successful exploitation of shale oil and gas inNorth America leads that the exploration and development of shale oil and gas resources getsmore attention. Practice shows that the shale shale can not only be used as source rocks forhydrocarbon generation, but also act as a reservoir rock, which contains a large number of oiland gas resources. At the same time, numerous studies show that China has formed thegeological conditions of unconventional oil and gas and possess huge reserves of resources. The exploration of shale oil and gas in Petro-chemical Enterprise has successfully started.Gulong Depression is a rich oil generation sag, the geochemical research which is carriedout in Gulong Depression shows that it has the material basis for the formation of shale oil.According to the "triple-division" relationship between TOC and oiliness, we identify thegrading evaluation criteria of shale oil resources and take classification evaluationto the shaleoil resources of the study area. According to the relationship between TOC, S1,chloroformbitumen "A" and sound waves, neutron and resistivity logging curve, using ΔlogR method toestablish the organic matter log response model, take logging identification to the abundanceof organic matter (TOC, chloroform bitumen "A", pyrolysis S1)of Qingshankou in Gulongdepression, and study the development and distribution of the shale. Through thecomparisonof the pyrolysis data before and after extraction and the chemical kinetics method, the losspart of the oil index (chloroform bitumen "A", S1) is recovery corrected. Too thick and toothin mud shale system is not conducive to the exploitation of shale oil, therefore, it isnecessary to determine the criteria for the classification of effective mud shale, and divideeffective mud shale system. Using volume method, the resource quantity of the UpperMember of Eh3, Gulong Depression is calculated. The results show that the shale oil resourcequantity of the Upper Member of Qingshankou is31.4million tons. Different levels of shaleoil resources also show that Class Iresources and Class II resources are equal. Class Iresources have a higher degree of enrichment. Both resources significantly higher than ClassIII resources, accounted for most of the proportion of the total amount of resources. Class IIIresources have a relatively small contribution. In summary, the shale oil of Qingshankou in Gulong Depression has slightly largeresource potential, and the exploration and development of it has better prospects, so it should be favorable targets for exploration and development of shale oil.
