In recent years,with the rapid development of microelectronics technology and micro-electromechanical systems,and the urgent need of more and more minimized products,micro-forming parts on the sharp increase in demand.Since micro-plastic forming technology with high-volume, high-efficiency, high-precision, high-density, short-cycle, low-cost, non-polluting, net shape and some unique advantages, which attracted much attention and research.In recent years, domestic and foreign scholars published a large number of documents, made many academic achievements in the scale effects, material formability and forming processing.But if have the micro-forming technology from the laboratory to the market,the research and development of micro-forming equipment is essential.First of all,it’s describes the present situation of research on micro-plastic forming,and summarizes the basic theory and key technology of micro-plastic forming in the paper.In the micro bending simulation experiments based on Marc,discussed the mesh models’ and the friction coefficient’s effects on the simulation results.At the same time,combined with the micro bending simulation results,analysis and verification the characteristics and laws of micro-plastic forming from bending force,spring-back,thinning and residual stress.Through repeated discussion and validation,put forward a relatively reliable design scheme and automatic control mode to meet the needs of micro-plastic forming processes.In the subsequent detailed design, the key parts of the equipment are been designed,checked and simulated,such as the main servo motor,workbench’s servo motor,crankshaft,connecting rod,slider,overload safety device,the guide devices and the body etc..what’s more,the electromagnetic brake,planetary gear reducer,single and double row deep groove ball bearings,couplings,micro-granting displacement sensor,angular displacement sensor and granting electronic device are done a briefly described.Micro-forming experimental platform has four main features:firstly,the permanent magnet synchronous servo motor, PLC and PC are been used to control the speed and position of the slider,and obtain the optimum processing curve of micro-plastic forming process of material to forming high-quality products with the best processing curve;secondly,the consumed electrical energy during frequency braking process can gather by regenerative braking module of Mitsubishi servo motor to provide instantaneous peak load of micro-plastic forming process to save the massive of energy.thirdly,according to the characteristics of the micro-plastic forming, the precision positioning workbench is been designed and which is based on the principle of magnetic levitation.Which can compensate for the errors of slider during guide process and the horizontal direction’s offsets of mold to make up for the defects that precision guide apparatus are unable to be installed on the micro-forming mold.The use of lab roller chain and rolling guide posts improve the stability and guiding precision of slider. In this paper,micro-plastic-forming system platform has the characteristics of simple structure, easy operation, high flexibility, low cost, high accuracy and so on,which is a high precision and new micro-plastic forming equipment to meet the requirements of research-oriented school,and which can solve the problem of mass production of micro parts in the actual production,so as to promote the development of micro-plastic-forming technology and equipment.
