Along with the development of science and technology and needs of high-tech, precision and ultra-precision processing technology plays an increasingly important place in industrial production. Ultra-precision machining has become one of the most critical and effective techniques in industrial production for decades. Closely connecting with the Doctor Foundation subject of Hebei province, with the aid of the science of piezoelectric material, flexure hinge theory, virtual prototype technology, This dissertation systemically studied the structure of ultra-precision lathe. Based on this, designed an ultra-precision lathe, set up 3D model and proceeded kinematics simulation of the lathe. The following creative work has been completed.◆Designed a miniaturized ultra-precision lathe based on aerostatic electric spindle,aerostatic guide,lapping lead screw and of piezoelectric ceramic micro-positioning platform.◆Designed a designed a micro-positioning platform based on piezoelectric ceram and the flexible hinge. Based on flexure hinge analysis, designed a integral micro-positioning hinge structure. The model of the flexure hinge and parallel hinge pair was set up, and it's stiffness was analyzed.◆Based on the testing system of open loop control system, performance of micro-positioning platform was analyzed, including the displacement -voltage curves, creep deformation characteristics, stability, and repeatability precision, finally got the data and the integrated performance of micro-positioning platform.◆Based on the virtual prototype simulation technology and the Mechanism module of Pro/ENGINEER, The simulation model of CNC lathe has been established, and moving simulation has been carried out. Got the displacement-time curve, velocity-time curve and acceleration-time curve of one point in knife rest, and got the moving envelope curve movement of some points in lathe. Through analysis, the requirements needed for the machine tool designed can be achieved.The results of simulation and experiment indicated that the micro-positioning system resolution is 0.01μm and repeated positioning accuracy under open loop control is 0.08μm;The lathe could achieve nanometer feeding accuracy. At last, the paper summarized the study and achievements of this article, and proposed suggestions and ideas about the next step of this study.
