Al-Mn3xxx alloys have many outstanding properties, such as excellent corrosion resistance and good deep draw-ability, and the alloys have a wide range of applications in industry. Traditional roll-casting process of the preparation for3xxx alloys has the advantages of short process and low cost, however, the occurrence of earing affects the the yield of deep drawing products which restricted their application. Introducing electromagnetic-ultrasonic auxiliary energy field into roll-casting is a kind of developing new technology. It not only has the advantages of high efficiency and energy saving, but also can improve deep drawing performance obviously. This paper prepared3003traditional and electromagnetic-ultrasonic auxiliary energy field roll-casting plates in laboratory and conducted a series of subsequent processing contrast experiments to study their structure properties, texture evolution and the effect on deep drawing properties under different process. In this paper, the main innovative work are as follows:(1)3003roll-casting plates were manufactured successfully by the small-size laboratory roll-casting machine applied electromagnetic-ultrasonic auxiliary energy field. The results showed that:By applying the electromagnetic-ultrasonic auxiliary energy field, the original organization was improved, the grain was apparently refined and the distribution of the second phases was more diffuse.(2)The subsequent cold rolling and annealing processes were conducted on these two kinds of roll-casting plates, The evolution of organization structure and mechanical property during subsequent processes had been analytically compared. The results showed that:the roll-casting strips under electromagnetic-ultrasonic auxiliary energy field shows more excellent performance in every single pass; In the subsequent annealing process, the recrystallizing temperature of electromagnetic-ultrasonic auxiliary energy field roll-casting strips was320℃at the very start and380℃at the end, which was about30℃lower than that of the traditional ones respectively.(3)Texture measurements were performed for different reductions roll-casting plates by x-ray diffraction (XRD). It revealed the the evolution of the texture during the subsequent processes and the effect on the formability. Electromagnetic-ultrasonic cast-rolling strips in rolling process had stronger brass-type textures while traditional roll casting strips were characterized as copper-type textures. After recrystallization annealing, the texture volume fractions of electromagnetic-ultrasonic cast-rolling strips was more balanced, and preferred orientation was weaker.(4)The electromagnetic-ultrasonic and traditional cast-rolling strips in different reductions and annealing processes were machined respectively in deep drawing experiments and the earring ratio was measured. The results showed that the stamping formability of electromagnetic-ultrasonic strips under different reductions was better than the traditional ones, and the earring ratio increased with the cold rolling reductions. The lowest earring rate happened when the electromagnetic-ultrasonic auxiliary energy field cast-rolling strips were annealed at the temperatures of375℃for1h, and the value was only1.36%; For traditional roll-casting strips, the lowest earring ratio is2.27%when the annealing temperature is400℃for1h.
