In recent decades the world zinc smelting capacity of rapid ascension,Zincsulphide ore is dried up,so Zinc oxide ore and Zinc waste which is producedmillions of tons by Metallurgy, iron and steel industries in china every year, isbeginning to be attracted more attention. The storage standard of poor miscellaneouszinc oxide ore(zinc content is less than20%)and zinc waste is very low. Besides,thanks to these resources is chaotic stacked; Dam failure and collapse accident islikely to happen,will cause the losses of property. So the metal mineral resourcesdrying up and environmental standards gradually strictly, to be fully recycling use theZinc oxide ore and Zinc waste,have a great significance to our country.According to all kinds of zinc oxide ore, zinc waste(Including red zinc ore,smithsonite, silicon zinc ore, zinc dust, zinc dross smoke, zinc slag, steel mills)canbe selectively dissolved in alkali,Then the reagent that could separate zinc fromlead in alkali have be founded. In this situation, Alkaline Leaching andElectrowinning Process was be invented. This craft have the characteristics of Processsimple, raw materials widely, environmental protection. But Zinc electrolyticmechanism and electrochemical parameters and it impact on morphology of metalliczinc powder in alkali still need be further researched.This article have researched electrolytic thermodynamic mechanism of zinc andlead,and systematic inspected the influence of initial concentration of alkali, zincconcentration, plate electrode distance, current density, stirring etc to The quality ofzinc powder and morphology, In addition, Put forward adding magnetic field to promote Zinc electrodeposition in alkali, to get high quality metal zinc powder. Themain conclusions are as follows:(1) According to the Nernst to calculate:when the pH>14,zinc is in theform ofZn(OH)24andZnO22exist in alkali. There is relation:[Zn]T0.04347[OH]2in alkali.;when the alkali concentration is between3~7mol/L and zinc concentration is between0.1~1.6mol/L,Electrode potential of zincdeposit is between-1.3~-1.4V.(2) According to the Nernst to calculate:when the pH>14, lead is in theform of HPbO-2exist in alkali。There are relation::[Pb]T=0.0455[OH-];when thealkali concentration is between3~7mol/L and lead concentration is between0.1~0.3mol/L:Electrode potential of lead deposit is between-0.6~-0.75V.(3) Though Alkaline Leaching and Electrowinning Process to product metalzinc powder the best electrolytic conditions is:alkali concentration is4mol/L,zincconcentration is30g/L,plate electrode distance is3cm,current density is1000A/m2,no stirring。In this condition, could product the zinc powder, the zinc content is97.38%,metal zinc content is96.79%, it has met the Secondary standard of《GB/T6890-2000》.(4) it have a significant on electrodeposition that adding a magnetic field onthe side, could widely improve the quality of zinc powder. the zinc content is99.46%,Metal zinc content is99.06%,it has obviously exceeded national levelstandard.
