This article discusses the synthetic principles and nylon production process ofMC, explore and study the problems on the synthesis process, and select an inorganicnucleating agent (talc) and an organic nucleating agent (phthalocyanine blue) to carryout the modification study on MC nylon. MC nylon and MC nylon composites whichhave been modified by nucleating agent are made by the Situ anionic polymerization.This paper adopts the differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), tX-ray diffraction(XRD), a universal testing machine and impact testing machine to study thecrystallization behavior, micro morphology, thermal properties of the Composites andmechanical properties of materials, comparing with the ordinary nylon6(PA6).DSC test is used to analysis the impact of the nucleating agent for crystallizationbehavior of nylon PA6and MC nylon. The results show that the nucleating agent selected have played a role for MC nylon and PA6in the Heterogeneous nucleation; And it also have great impact for the melting enthalpy, melting, crytallization temperature,crystallinity of PA6and MC nylon; Besides, the efftcts to MC nylon is greater than that to PA6. Talc can accelerate the crystallization of PA6and enhance crystallinity; When the talc content rises, the MC nylon crystallinity will increase.The Melting of the system will increase when the content of talc is1%. When the content of talc is more than1%, the melting point of the system decrease with the increasing of talc and lowerthan the melting point of pure MC Nylon which increase the imperfect of MC nylon crystals. Pigment Blue have less impact on the crystallization behavior of PA6. However, Pigment Blue can decrease the MC nylon’s Crystallinity. This indicates that Pigment Blue Inhibit MC nylon crystals.The analysis results of X-ray diffraction shows that there are no special diffraction peak on the curve of the XRD system when adding phthalocyanine blue and talcumpowder, which prove that nucleating agent did not impact the MC nylon crystal type.The change of ratio for I(202+020)/I(200)prove that the talcum powder can make the MCnylon crystal developing in the direction of alpha crystal; phthalocyanine blue makeMC nylon crystal developing in the direction of gamma crystal type. The experiment shows that talcum powder and phthalocyanine blue can make the crystallization of MCnylon system to be smaller; the crystal size is significantly smaller than PA6and MCnylon after adding nucleating agent. The nucleating agent is added to the MC nylon to research the mechanicalproperties. The research showed that the talcum powder can effectively improvethe tensile properties of MC nylon. The impact properties of materials in the talcumpowder content has a small increase when the talcun powder content was1%,but decreased with the increment of Talcum powder. It showed that in a certainrange, the addition of a small amount of talc powder on MC nylon can play the dualeffect of reinforcing and toughening. The impact strength of the composite can begreatly improved when adding amount of Phthalocyanine blue was0.05%. But whenthe content exceed0.05%, the impact strength of the composite decreased with theincreasing of the content of phthalocyanine blue, and as well as that of the pure MCnylon. When phthalocyanine blue joined to MC nylon, the impact strength of thecomposite decreased with increasing the content of phthalocyanine blue. It indicatedthat control the content of phthalocyanine blue, phthalocyanine blue can effectivelyimprove the impact strength of MC nylon material, but tensile strength decreased.
