The developed shipping industry promotes the economic development in the Yangtze River Valley, but also to the Yangtze River and the surrounding environment caused by pollution and destruction.Yangtze river vulnerable to sudden fixed or mobile chemical pollution accident from upstream intensive chemical enterprises.and bring great security risk for the city safe water sources.Relying on science and technology project (SH2013012) of Zhenjiang city of Jiangsu province:Research on key technology of ozone biological activated carbon to protect water quality in jinshan waterworks. According to the present situation of the yangtze river resource and previous research,depend on detection rate of river section,Environmental health impact index,Potential hazard index,Whether they are Persistent Organic Pollutants,China "priority control organic pollutants", toxic chemicals,three-induced (mutation, teratogenic and carcinogenic) and whether there is a suitable detection methods. benzene, toluene, p-chlorotoluene, volatile phenol, styrene, naphthalene is selected as the risk pollutants to research.Combined with the water treatment process of jinshan water and jinxi water,emergency treatment technology is studied to cope with sudden organic pollution in water.Using small test pilot and Pilot test experiment to study the PAC pretreatment technology, conventional treatment process, ozone-biological activated carbon technology to remove the effect of the characteristics of organic pollutants. The results show that:PAC pretreatment technology of removing low concentrations of organic pollutant has achieved good results. With increasing dosage and adsorption time of PAC. the removal of organic pollutants also increase,and the removal of organic pollutant have focused on the adsorption of30min,30min to60min removal efficiency increases slowly.Conventional treatment is difficult to ensure water quality up to standard,and enhanced coagulation can not reach very good effect.But the conventional process and O3-BAC (03-BAC) advanced treatment process for the removal of organic pollutants have a very good effect. The03-BAC is the main stage of removal of water pollution,and with increasing of ozone concentration (1-4mg/L), the removal rate increases.A small amount of residual pollutants can be completely adsorbed by biological activated carbon filter and used by microorganisms.With the extension of BAC run time, the processing performance degradation will affect water quality.Therefore, timely and effective backwash to ensure normal biological activated carbon effluent quality is very important.
