With the growing awareness of environmental protection and the short supply of the world’s resources, reuse of waste textiles increasingly get the world’s attention. Waste textile recycling to reduce the waste pollution of soil and atmospheric environment play a indispensable role, at the same time, to alleviate the world food crisis and the oil crisis in some extent has important significance. At present, the methods on recycling and reuse of used textiles mainly are physical, chemical and energy law. Each way of recycling polyester/cotton blend fabric which account for a large share of the waste textiles has different focus. The physical method is production of low value-added products, and the chemical is dissolution or degradation one of the constituents to achieve the separation and reuse, but the energy law can not be recycled.In this paper, the use of non-ferrous waste polyester/cotton blended fabric as raw material, using classification, stripping, hydrothermal method for polyester/cotton blended fabric and separate and purified the product, then get the terephthalic acid(TPA) and carbon. By controlling the hydrothermal reaction temperature and holding time, select the appropriate recycling process conditions, and discussed the effects of the stripping temperature and time on the stripping impact color in order to facilitate the analyticity, finally get the best stripping process by orthogonal experiment. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) The optimum polyester/cotton blended fabric stripping process are:Firstly, the dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) swelling temperature is130℃and swelling time is40minutes. Secondly, the N, N-dimethyl formamide(DMF) dissolution temperature is100℃and dissolution time is30minutes. Finally,the thiourea dioxide stripping temperature is100℃and stripping time is30minutes; (2) The recovery of waste polyester/cotton blended fabric by hydrothermal method, as well as to achieve polyester fiber and cotton fiber recycling together, general control the temperature near the300℃, holding time about8hours;(3) In the hydrothermal resction system, the cellulose were carbonized and the polyester were hydrolytic degradation. The recycling samples mainly are carbon products which in the form of amorphous and terephthalic acid. Carbon products with more oxygen groups.
