Along with the progress of science over the years and the requirement of high yield, high efficient and safe coal production, the domestic coal mines begin to use the digital face gradually. As the core equipment of digital working face, the hydraulic support electro-hydraulic control system has higher requirement of hydraulic medium than the manual control system. In the process of using the hydraulic support electro-hydraulic control system, it’s found that the quality of the working medium has become the important factor that affect the system performance. Based on the using experience of domestic electric-liquid control system, installing filter at the fluid pipeline of emulsion is a key way to ensure the quality of emulsion.The domestic and overseas emulsion filters are corresponding to their working principle, but the different design processing and control mode, the filters can’t meet the digital working face high pressure, large flow, and realizing remote control. In view of this, it has very important significance to design and research on the emulsion filter.This paper introduces the basic composition and function of the digital face, expounds the importance of the filter in the electro-hydraulic hydraulic support control system, and introduces the several common emulsion filters. In combination with the actual working conditions of domestic digital faces and considering the shortcomings of domestic and over seas similar productsg, this paper designs a suitable emulsion electric hydraulic backwash filter for the digital work hydraulic support electro-hydraulic control system, including the design of hydraulic system and control system. The design hydraulic system mainly includes the hydraulic circuit, high pressure filter components, big flow two-way cartridge valve, pilot valve and the overall structure, and the design of control system mainly includes the selection of the electrical components, hardware design of control circuit and the software which can realizes control the filter by three kinds of control mode-differential pressure, timing, manual.Through analyzing the working principle and the application of two-way cartridge valve which is the core component of the filter, this paper establishes the mathematical modeling, and makes model in AMESim environment and simulation research on it’s dynamic characteristics, and the results show that the two-way cartridge valve designed opens and closes rapidly, has flow stability and a good flow-pressure drop characteristic in high pressure and large flow situation. And then, this paper makes simulation study of the hydraulic system of the filter device in the AMESim environment, and the results show that the device can realize the nomal filtration and back-fusing controlled by the pilot valve, has a good flow-pressure drop characteristic, can realize back-flushing online and it doesn’t affect the normal operation of the hydraulic support control system when it is backwashing.Finally, through making prototype production, experiment and field application, this paper verifies the designed filter can meet the design requirements or not.
