Molecular imprinting technology (MIPs) is a new development area that based onmolecular recognition, it has been widely used and studied in the chromatographic analysis, solid phase extraction, enzyme catalysis, biomimetic sensors and other fields. In this paper, suspension polymerization and precipitation polymerization were usedrespectively for the preparation of gatifloxacin MIPs. And a series of experiments were takenfor studying the binding ability of MIPs. The MIPs are use with solid phase extractiontechnology, its application in the actual samples are investigated. The main research contents:Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are prepared via suspension polymerization withgatifloxacin as template. We use equilibrium adsorption experiment to discuss the bindingperformance. high bingding affinity and selectivity to gatifloxacin were shown through theexperiments. Scatchard analysis shows that the MIPs have two classes of binding sites. It ismultiple molecular layer adsorption process, and it has good selectivity for the targetmolecules.Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are prepared via precipitation polymerizationwith gatifloxacin as template. The reaction solvent, types and proportions of functionalmonomer, crosslinking agent were chosen on the basis of adsorption quantity of templatemolecules. The adsorption performance of polymer was evaluated by static adsorptionexperiment. The MIPs are use with solid phase extraction technology, optimized theconditions of solid phase extraction. The result shows that MIPs have good selectivity forgatifloxacin. Use the molecularly imprinted polymers as solid-phase extraction material forpacking solid-phase extraction column, in combination with HPLC method for the effect ofrecovery rate reaches92%~99%, enrichment ratio is213, relative standard deviation lessthan4.01%. Compared with C18solid phase extraction column, the preparation of polymerhas better selectivity and enrichment ratio, can be used for the enrichment and separation ofthe gatifloxacin presenting in the environment.
