Nowadays, environmental issue has become the focus of discussion, especially large scale fog and haze has broke out recent few years, which totally caused more and more focus on PM2.5. Of all the contributing sources in PM2.5, that exhausted from diesel vehicles takes one third of the total. Some of those harmful ingredients seriously affect the air quality, as well as threats the human health terribly. Facing with more stringent standards of diesel exhaust emission, the purification technology before exhausting and inside the machine for now couldn’t satisfy the limit of diesel exhaust emission standard, then a newly processing technology——the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) win people’s approval. In this Paper, micron wood fiber was made in to heat-treated micron wood fiber filter with special processing technology, comparing to other traditional filter materials, it has lower price, higher collection efficiency, good permeability and no request to fuel quality, and this kind of filter is made by green and renewable material, which surely has bright development in the future.Theoretical models and steady-state collection efficiency of heat treated micron wood fiber tracheid wall and pits have been deeply studied, according to the SEM experimental results, combing with the characteristics of heat-treated micron wood fiber filter material, using the fiber filter theory and particle concentration equations, referring to some semi-empirical and empirical formula of fiber filter material collection efficiency from domestic and foreign scholars. Using numerical analysis software to make a simulation of steady-state collection efficiency of tracheid wall and pits around tracheid, came out the relation curve of collection efficiency under the conditions of different temperatures, permeate flow rates and the thickness of tracheid wall.Based on the physical and chemical properties of the PM exhausted from diesel vehicles and the characteristics of heat treated micron wood fiber filter material, the testing station of the DPF filter performance was designed and built and its software system was developed by using Kingview6.5. According to GB3847-2005, several related tests were made to testify the filter, which proved the reliability of theoretical analysis.
