With the progress of the society, the rapid development of industry, agriculture and economic, economic interest is obvious over the environmental benefits. The industrial "three wastes" arbitrarily discharged in the process of industrial production, unlimited exploration in mining and smelting of metal; abuse of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture and using sewage irrigation; and a lot of living garbage in city life, etc., all of those generated a lot of heavy metal pollutants. These pollutants goes into the soil, atmosphere and water can form irreversible environmental pollution. In addition, when the pollutants enter the environment, due to toxicity of heavy metals, they would also cause an unprecedented severe threat to organisms. There are a lot of disposal methods of heavy metal pollution, with the continuous application of various treatment methods, the disadvantages of using physical, chemical and biological method for managing heavy metal pollution gradually emerged, and then, a green environmental restoration technology with low operating cost and no secondary pollution——phytoremediation method instead of those above. Phytoremediation method soon occupies the most important position of dealing with environment pollution, for its low economic cost, high environmental value and the ecological landscape effect. This article is based on phytoremediation method, choose Arabidopsis thaliana which has small individual, short breeding period, pippy and strong vitality as object, studies the tolerance of Arabidopsis thaliana and transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana plants on heavy metal cadmium, and this will provide a reliable basis to environmental pollution of heavy metals in the application of using plants. This study adopts the plants in water, and separately determined cadmium uptakes in every part of both Arabidopsis thaliana (control group) and transgenic (jujube’s MT) Arabidopsis thaliana(experimental group) under different cadmium concentration and different time. This article contrastively analysis the tolerance of both two Arabidopsis thaliana on heavy metal cadmium. The experimental results show that under the equivalent stress conditions:(1) Cadmium ion uptakes in every part of the experimental Arabidopsis thaliana were significantly higher than that of the control Arabidopsis thaliana:cadmium concentrations of0.1mol/L on24h and48h, cadmium uptakes in roots of the experimental Arabidopsis thaliana are227mg/L and323mg/L, respectively, the ground part are513mg/L and667mg/L, but cadmium uptakes in roots of the control Arabidopsis thaliana are only93mg/L and107mg/L, the ground part are 323mg/L and437mg/L;(2) Enrichment coefficient of cadmium, the experimental group is significantly higher than the control one:cadmium concentrations of0.001mol/L, enrichment coefficient of cadmium in experimental Arabidopsis thaliana was92.0%, and the control group was only47.3%; In addition,(3) Transfer coefficient of cadmium in experimental Arabidopsis thaliana was1.053to2.300. Accordingly, transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana and Arabidopsis thaliana all belong to cadmium hyperaccumulation plants. And, thanks to MT genes, it significantly improves the tolerance of Arabidopsis thaliana on heavy metal cadmium.
