98representative soil samples,98representative tobacco samples and58irrigation water samples were collected to detect the content of heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Hg,As) of samples. Materials came from Pinglu and Zhangzi, which locate in the south ofShanxi. And the data was compared with “the national soil environmental quality standards”,“pollution-free tea Standards”,“the irrigation water quality standards”, and spatialdistribution of heavy metals in soil and tobacco via GIS, The results were as follows:1The content and spatial distribution of heavy metals in the soil in southern Shanxiwere evaluated, the results showed that:(1)Evaluation of heavy metals in the soil in Pinglu County showed that: the averagevalues of Cd, Pb, Hg, and As were0.27mg/kg,18.30mg/kg,0.13mg/kg,12.45mg/kg. Inaddition to Cd in Sanmen, all soil elements single pollution index of other towns were lessthan1. The order of comprehensive pollution index of soil heavy metal in Pinglu was asfollows: Sanmen>Caochuan> Podi>Shengrenjian> Duma> Zhangdian> Changle. The soilheavy metal pollution index of Sanmen and Caochuan was greater than1. The pollutionindex of Podi, Shengrenjian, Zhangdian and Duma was less than1but greater than0.7. Thepollution index of Changle was less than0.7.(2)Evaluation of heavy metals in the soil in Zhangzi county showed that: the averagevalues of Cd, Pb, Hg, As were0.24mg/kg,18.34mg/kg,0.09mg/kg,10.10mg/kg. The singlepollution indexes of all towns were less than1, the order of comprehensive pollution indexof soil heavy metal was as follows: Shizhe>Nianzhang>Nanchen. The pollution index ofShizhe was greater than1. The pollution index of Nianzhang was less than1but greater than0.7. The soil heavy metal pollution index of Nanchen was less than0.7.(3)Spatial distribution of heavy metals in the soil in Pinglu County showed that: Thecontent of Lead, Mercury, and Arsenic in the soil of Pinglu was in clean range, not polluted. And the overall trend of soil Cadmium heavy metal pollution of Pinglu was that thenorthwest was lowest, the central and southern gradually increased, then decreased in theeast. Central Sanmen and some area of southern Caochuan were affected by the lightpollution; most of the Midwest Zhangdian, Duma, Changle, some area of southernShengrenjian were clean; the rest of towns were still clean, but under the cordon level.(4)Spatial distribution of heavy metals in the soil in Zhangzi County showed that: The content of Lead, Mercury, and Arsenic in the soil of Pinglu was in clean range, not polluted. The trend of heavy metal pollution of soil Cadmium of Zhangzi was that central region washighest and outward to reduce diffraction. In the center and west of Shizhe, was still cleanbut at the cordon level. The rest of the study area soil is clean and not contaminated; theoverall soil quality was at good level.2The content and spatial distribution of heavy metals in tobacco in southern Shanxiwere evaluated, the results showed that:(1)Evaluation of heavy metals in tobacco in Pinglu county showed that: the averagevalues of Cd, Pb, Hg, As were1.63mg/kg,3.34mg/kg,0.11mg/kg,0.33mg/kg. The pollutionindex of Cd was larger than1except for Changle, the pollution indexs of Pb, Hg, and As ofall towns were larger than1.(2)Evaluation of heavy metals in tobacco in Zhangzi county showed that: the averagevalues of Cd, Pb, Hg, As were2.32mg/kg,2.02mg/kg,0.15mg/kg,0.27mg/kg. The averagepollution index of all towns were less than1, the pollution index of Pb, Hg, and As of alltowns were larger than1.(3)Spatial distribution of heavy metals in tobacco in Pinglu county showed that: thecontent of Cd in northwestern region was less than southeastern region, the content of Pb innorthwestern region was higher than eastern region, the overall content of Hg grew higherfrom east to west, the content of As in northern region was higher than center and southernregion, western region less than center and eastern region. The content of Cd in most areasin Pinglu county were higher than the limit value of non-polluted tea, which showed the Cdcontent was at a high level, the content of Pb, Hg in most areas were less than the limit valueof non-polluted tea, which showed the Pb, Hg content were at a relatively low level, thecontent of As in all areas were higher than the limit value in non-polluted tea, which showedthe As content was at a low level.(4)Spatial distribution of heavy metals in tobacco in Zhangzi County showed that: thecontent of Cd was higher in northwestern sporadic region, and decreased gradually to east, the overall content of Pb grew higher from northwestern to southwestern, the content of Hgin southeast region was higher than northwest region, the content of As was highest incenter region, and reduced to east and west. The content of Cd in most areas in Zhangzicounty were higher than the limit value of non-polluted tea, which showed the Cd contentwas at a high level, the content of Pb, Hg, and As in all areas were higher than the limitvalue in non-polluted tea, which showed the content of Pb, Hg, and As were at a low level.
