The studies on structure and properties of metal complexes have been the frontiersubject of coordination chemistry. However, the structure and properties of calciumand magnesium complexes are still a lack of systematic research compared withtransition metal complexes. In this project, we design and synthesizes a series offlexible and rigid ligands with sulfo group in different forms of solvents, and theirscalcium and magnesium complexes by self assemble. On the basis of analysing theircrystal structure by X-ray single crystal diffraction and spectral analysis, studying thecoordination behavior, coordination feature and the regularity of their structure, andexploring their application in luminescent probe, medicine of antibacterial andantineoplastic and the new catalysis by studying their luminescent properties, bioactivities and catalytic properties. It is realized that the structure controlled theproperties of complexes. The success of the project will supply the useful theory forthe design, synthesis and application in luminescent probe and medicine ofantibacterial and antineoplastic of Ca and Mg complexes. Moreover, the ligands andcomplexes have been synthesized will promote the development of coordinationchemistry and contribute to the coordination chemistry knowledge through doing thebasic and important work.In this paper, we design and synthesize thirteen kinds of ligands, eight kinds ofmagnesium complex, three kinds of calcium complex, and two kinds of transitionmetal complex, one is the cadmium complex, the other is a copper complex. The ligand of N, N’, N’’-tri(salicylaldehyde)triaminotriethylamine belongs tomonoclinic, space group P21/c with a=9.868(2)(), b=11.215(2)(), c=22.931(5)(),α=γ=90o,=98.82(3)o, Dc=1.215μg·m3, V=2507.8(9)3, Z=4, F(000)=976,R1=0.0650, wR2=0.1658.
