Phosphate ore is a kind of non renewable resources, mid-low grade phosphate oreoccupies a large proportion in our country. Flotation is an effective way to realize thecomprehensive utilization of phosphate resources. The sodium oleate is one of the commonreverse flotation reagent used for calcium phosphate ore, but large amounts of oil resourcesneeds to be consumed. At present, China’s recyclable catering oil is about2000000tons.The recovered oil mainly flows to catering industry, and it seriously affects people’s health.If the recovered oil can be used for reverse flotation on calcium phosphate ore, it canrealize the best use of abandoned resources. The research reports about recovered oil onreverse flotation of calcium phosphate ore are not many, mid-low grade phosphate ore inHubei Baokang high calcium, Zhongxiang Dayukou Tuziling and Heishan Silicon calciumwill be taken as research object in this pape, the influence of phosphate ore particle size,sodium oleate and compound agent made by recovered oil and process conditions onflotation process will be investigated.Firstly, the influence of mid-low grade phosphate ore grinding, classification andparticle size on the flotation process is investigated. The results show that the content ofP2O5decreases and MgO increases in Baokang phosphate ore when phosphate ore particlesize decreases after classification. The content of P2O5and CaO show enrichment trend,while the content of SiO2gradually decreases in Dayukou silicon calcium phosphate ore.The reduction of phosphate ore particle size is beneficial to enhance the effect of reverseflotation; Baokang high calcium phosphate ore shows better flotation effect especially, thecontent of P2O5of phosphate concentrate reaches35%. Dayukou silicon calcium phosphateore shows poor effect of reverse flotation, even when the phosphate ore particle sizedecreases to-65μm, the content of P2O5in phosphate concentrate is just20%. This showsthat Baokang high calcium phosphate ore are suitable for reverse flotation. Dayukousilicon calcium phosphate ore are not suitable for reverse flotation. Secondly, the influence of sodium oleate and compound agent made by recovered oiland process conditions on flotation process is investigated. The results show that theflotation shows better effect when used sodium oleate and sodium dodecyl benzenesulfonate as the compound agent, the flotation effect is the best when the ratio is9:1, thegrade of phosphate ore concentrate and recovery rate of phosphate ore reaches34.80%and77.40%respectively. The flotation efficiency can be effectively improved by the additionof organic acid inhibitor. The flotation effect is the best when12kg/t fluosilicic acid added,the phosphate ore concentrate and recovery rate of phosphate ore in Baokang high calciummid-low phosphate ore after flotation reaches33.57%and98.45%respectively.Finally, the flotation mechanism of mid-low grade phosphate ore by recovered oilthrough the test of the agent surface tension, hydrophilic-lipophilc balance value and thepotential of phosphate ore samples is investigated. The results show that the adsorptionbetween agents and phosphate ore particle is affected by the surface tension,hydrophilic-lipophilc balance value, and the potential of phosphate ore samples, therebyaffects the flotation efficiency. When the surface tension of the agent decreases, thewettability of the agent on phosphate ore particle reinforces, it is beneficial to theadsorption between them. The hydrophilic-lipophilc balance value of the agent decreases,lipophilicity reinforces, flotation bubble increases, it is beneficial to the flotation efficiency.It is beneficial to the adsorption and flotation between them when the potential valuedecreases. On this basis, the flotation mechanism of calcium phosphate ore is put forwardand the flotation process is discussed.
