Based on the structure of common sieve tray, through reformed Flow-guided sieve tray form a sort of new type tray.In this paper, the background of tower equipment and the hydrodynamics performance of the sieve tray were introduced, and prospected the research and development of the tower equipment. The structure and performance of flow-guided sieve tray were summarized. The hydrodynamics performance such as dry-plate pressure-drop, wet-plate pressure-drop, entrainment, weeping ratio, etc. and tray-efficiency (according to different O2content in water on different point of column) of new guided sieve tray have been measured in the experiment column (φ600mm), compared with flow-guided sieve tray and flow-guided fixed-valve tray. And the experimental data in different gas and liquid flux is analyzed and fitted. The experimental data have been correlated and the new correlations of pressure drop, entrainment and weeping have been established. The velocity distribution status and momentum transfer of the two phases on the new flow-guided sieve tray were analyzed and researched. By analyzing the transfer mechanism of the vapor and liquid, agitation effect of the vapor phase passing vertically through the flowing liquid should be considered besides the resisting force to liquid flow. Vapor through the oriented holes has driving force to liquid in the two phase flow system on the tray. The paper educed the momentum equations and improved k-ε quations to describe liquid flow on the tray within two phase crossflow. Resisting and driving effects of vapor were considered in the momentum equations. Resolving methods of models boundary conditions were given.
