Lake aquatic ecosystem models are very important to the research on the lakestatus, the forecast of lake future conditions and ecological restoration of lake. Withthe rapid development of internal mechanism of lake and computer technology, alarge number of lake aquatic ecosystem models are emerging. When applying theaquatic ecosystem models, the selection of models has an important influence onsimulation results. In this paper, taking SH landscape lake as research object, two relatively newaquatic ecosystem models were used to compare. Firstly, this paper introducedlocation, natural environment, water source and ecological condition of the SHlandscape lake. By determining fixed sampling points of SH landscape lake, the watersamples were collected. The quality indicators and aquatic ecosystem indicators wereobtained by laboratory determination of water samples. Through field researches andsearching the relevant literatures and yearbooks, the relevant meteorology andmorphological datas were obtained. This part will provide useful information tosubsequent comparsion of aquatic ecosystem models.Secondly, PAMOLARE and AQUATOX were introduced briefly, and thesimulation capabilities, application, parameters, mechanism and outputs of the twomodels were compared.Thirdly, this paper conducted sensitivity analysis of model parameters aboutammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, total dissolved phosphorus and planktonic algaeto determine the degree of influence on the simulation outputs, and determined thesort of parameter sensitivity. For AQUATOX, the most sensitive parameter aboutammonia, nitrate nitrogen and total dissolved phosphorus was optimal temperature ofcryptomonas, and the most sensitive parameters about diatom, cryptomonas, greenalgae and cyanobacteria were maximum photosynthetic rate of diatom, optimaltemperature of cryptomonas, respiration rate in20℃of green algae and respirationrate in20℃of cyanobacteria respectively. For PAMOLARE, the most sensitiveparameter about ammonia and nitrate nitrogen was nitrification rate, the sensitivity ofparameters about total dissolved phosphorus were the same, and the most sensitiveparameter about planktonic algae was the maximum growth rate of planktonic algae. The sensitivity analysis of parameters establishes theoretical foundation for parameteroptimization. Finally, the parameters have an important influence on the accuracy ofsimulation results, in order to compare the simulation outputs of AQUATOX andPAMOLARE, the optimization of sensitive parameters is very important. In this paper, fifteen groups of meatured datas were used to optimize the sensitive parameters, andobtained more suitable parameters. Then, another ten groups of meatured datas wereused to verify the models after parameter optimization, and obtained more suitableaquatic ecosystem models. This study provides methods and basis for selection ofaquatic ecosystem models.
