Pure terephthalic acid (PTA), in the light industry, chemical fiber and other aspectsoccupies an important position, the vast majority of PTA is made up of paraxylene (PX) inliquid phase catalytic oxidation. Increasing production capacity of equipment, savingproduction cost and study on kinetics of PX oxidation reaction is the focus of PX oxidationprocess. So this paper studies from these aspects systematically. This paper researches the influence of the stirring speed, the volume, temperature, inletoxygen concentration on the reaction. Considering the price of cobalt is expensive, andzirconium has good catalytic effect, but also the price is low, thus reduce the dosage ofcobalt and manganese, add a third component and study its dosage.Synthesize other factors we get the optimal technological conditions, the resultspresent that when the temperature in185~187℃,400ppm of Co concentration,200ppmof Mn concentration,80ppm of Zr concentration and25%of oxygen content, reaction timeis shortened15minutes to compare the air condition, the yield of TA increase1.6%. Theseconditions increase the production capacity of equipment, save cost, and also can controlthe side reaction.Under the optimal process, the initial concentration of reactants effect andtemperature effect are studied, the curves of liquid components concentration of time aregetted respectively, and the activation energy and the former factors are determined. Themechanisms of the reactions are analyzed, the kinetics are established and the reactionkinetics equations are received. And the industrial reaction process is simulated, andcalculated values are in good agreement with the experimental values.
