BT14(Ti-4.5Al-3Mo-1v) titanium alloy was developed by the former Sovietunion aviation materials research institute in the50s,which is a+β titanium alloy andcan be martensite strengthened through heat treatment. In the United States also havesimilar alloy that component is RMI-4Al-3Mo-1V (Ti-431), which mainly for theproduction of the plate. BT14titanium alloy is a high toughness and high strengthentitanium alloy, by heat treatment strengthening the ultimate strength would reach to1100MPa, through general annealing treatment its strength can reach to850MPa or so.This alloy have good welding performance and process performance, can be processedto be forging, rods, tubes, plate, sheet. Can be used to produce in150~500℃to workunder the stress of the parts and components, pressure vessel spare parts. This topic isgrope for reasonable rolling pr reasonable rolling process ocess for BT-14alloy plate beused in gas turbine ship, and the production of products meet the OCT190218-76standard requirement.The mechanical properties of BT14titanium alloy plate was determined by Thealloy composition and organization. In order to determine the reasonable scope of thealloying, this subject do some of laboratory researchment on the alloy componentdesign and analysis of heat treatment phase first.Process design and research focus on BT14titanium alloy plate which is10mmthickness of finished product, choose four process program, fire times deformation≧50%, respectively to thermal deformation combination in β phase area and α+β phasearea and semi-finished products whether to adopt quenching process for hot rollingprocess test. If BT14alloy composition of the alloy has been determined. Themechanical properties and processing properties of BT14alloy plate will be affected bythe microstructure. And the microstructure will be affected by rolling process and heat treatment.The total deformation and the rolled in the two-phase region is greater than80%,the more than50%per heat deformation and more than15%pass deformation, Thiskind of thickness of BT14plate obtain the organization which are tiny and uniformityand the grain size no more than5μ.Through reasonable rolling deformation is greater than80%in two phase area, theslab billet after first rolling through β treatment to eliminate processing textuer to refinethe microstructure refined measures expected effect is no used.BT14titanium alloy possesses good stability of properties and a small quantity ofprimary α lamellae has few influence on the tensile properties. This experiment can bemade sure that the alloy plate to gain higher strength and the ideal matching of theorganization through the hot rolling process C.
