Vertical mill has a long history of more than20years since its launch. Vertical millrelative to other crushing equipment with energy saving, high yield, low noise, highefficiency, crushing ability, cover an area of an area small, simple operation process, etc.Due to its many advantages in one, set since the advent of increasingly brought to theattention of the cement production industry. Nowadays the vertical roller mill hasbecome the main melody of the cement industry, now play an important role for thedevelopment and construction in today’s society.This paper based on the new development and designed of BGSM6026verticalmill, combined with today’s popular Solidworks, ANSYS simulation software toanalyze the flow field. Systematically studies the large vertical mill numerical analysismethod for vertical mill technical research present situation and existing problems, and,providing theoretical basis for design and development of large vertical mill and methodsupport; By FLUENT computational fluid dynamics analysis platform, this paperstudies the flow field characteristics of large vertical mill, the mill roller mill workwithin the velocity field, temperature field, pressure field, flow field and particletrajectory features, streamline and made detailed explanation, in order to furtherimprove the efficiency of grinding and choose powder.In this paper, the vertical roller mill in airflow parameters for the change, and thesimulation again, by comparing the different air volume, to observe the change law ofair flow vertical mill flow field. For the vertical roller mill in air volume of the size ofthe set provides the basis. In the process of analysis, found that ash hopper bottom airturbulent phenomenon is more serious, easy to form a large number of eddy current.Over crushing phenomenon in the process of transport make many qualified particlerepeated cycle of rolling, caused the unnecessary energy consumption, and this part ofthe energy consumption in the vertical mill occupies a large proportion in the energyloss, and the effect of powder transport efficiency. Over crushing phenomenon is due to the vertical mill flow field structure is imperfect, make its appear many problems in thetransport process. In order to make a over crushing phenomenon is reduced, to improvethe vertical mill flow field of the structure. Around the ash hopper add spiral blade, tostop the particles to fall back to the mill. Through the analysis we can see that thestructure of vertical mill flow field across the influence of over crushing phenomenon isvery obvious, and the improvement of vertical mill structure can significantly improveover crushing phenomenon. By comparing before and after improvement to join particlephase of various data and information, according to a rough estimate a over crushingamount is reduced by more than about twenty percent than before.
