Fine-pitch gear is widely used in aviation machinery, electronic products,precision machinery, instrumentation and timing mechanism, its precision affects theworking performance and service life of the instrument directly, and therefore themeasurement technology is significant.In order to solve the problem of measuring the parameters of tooth pitch, tooththickness, gear eccentricity and so on, aiming at the characteristics of fine-pitch gearto build a polar coordinate measuring system. The main work is as follows:(1)The non-contact distance sensors and direct-drive rotary platform are usedto build a polar coordinate measuring system.Based on the grating signal derivedfrom the rotating platform, the equiangular sampling information of the cross sectionis obtained.(2)Using developed software to process the acquired data to obtain pitch, tooththickness and gear eccentricity errors.(3)Verify the accuracy of test instruments and functions. First accrediteddegree vertical column and shaft run out, verify that the system meets theexperimental conditions, and then by comparing the test, repeat the test and verify thereliability of the experimental conditions on the system. Finally, analysis the systemuncertainty.After considering the three aspects of accuracy, efficiency and economy ofsystem requirements comprehensively, finalize the parts universal measuringinstrument for shaft parts existing in laboratory as a measurement platform, usinglaser measuring head to get the data of cross-section of measured gear. Then throughLabview completing measurement process control, the final error of measured geardata is obtained by Matlab software. System software takes graphical developmenttools Labview and Matlab image processing tools as a platform, and uses modulardesign, with the characteristic of good reliability, maintainability and extensibility.The system can measure the fine-pitch gear with high precision. And it has aadvantage in improving the efficiency of measurement.
