Mine fan is an important part of the mine production system, who provides animportant safeguard for mine production safety. As the fan malfunction in variousforms, the mechanism is complex, and there are serious nonlinear between fault andrepresentation. For these cases of mine fan, mine fan fault diagnosis method based onsimulation analysis has been studied. Through a variety of modeling and simulationanalysis, fault characteristic signals were obtained, the signal extraction difficult in thefault diagnosis of mine fan fault was solved, the foundation for the simulation methodapplied to fault diagnosis was laid.For different fault types of mine fan, different simulation methods were selectedto study mine fan fault diagnosis method. For the fan blade fault, a analysis methodbased on Computational Fluid Dynamics was proposed. This method combined aRANS equation with Realizable k εturbulence model to analyze the aerodynamicperformance of mine fan. The model of an fan working under four different conditionshas been developed where one of condition is normal,another is the fracture of theblade, another is the loose of blade, and another is the fracture and loose blade.Comparing the k εturbulence characteristic of the four models, we will find thatdifferent fan faults have different k εturbulence characteristic parameters. So wecan achieve k εturbulence characteristic parameters by simulate different bladefaults, it lays the foundation of the actual application parameters characteristic forfault identification and diagnosis. Thus axial fault diagnosis based on CFD methodcan gradually form. For rotor imbalance fault of fan, fault diagnosis method bymodeling and simulation based on ADAMS has explored. Simulation and analyze themodels in normal and rotor imbalance by virtual prototyping technology. Analysis thevibration signal in shaft of two conditions, compare with the results to verify thefeasibility of this fault diagnosis method.Characteristics signals when fan fault occurs can be obtained by simulationanalysis, it develops an new way to solve the extraction of fan fault feature and thecollection of feature samples, and ensure the correctness and veracity of faultdiagnosis. It is also an exploration in the study of fault diagnosis mechanism, a new way for fans fault diagnosis technology.
