Karl Marx’s opinions on ecological is profound and systematic. His view thatcapitalism would inevitably produce ecological crisis has been proved in recent years. The theory of eco-socialism, which became more and more popular in the late20thcentury, is a political theory analysis in the view of socialism and based on the factthat environmental problems play a more important role in politics. It provides a goodview on environmental protections and ecological civilization constructions in theworld and especially in China. How to make a value-oriented influence for media in construction of ecologicalcivilization? In value theory of Marxism,"value" refers to the existence of the object,as well as their role changes needed for its development. For media and journalists, news’ value depends on whether it meets the needs on the administrators or thecustomers. Value of a media in a socialism country can be described into3parts:orientation, culture and worth of news. Public opinions and criticizing is important infield of ecological civilization construction. Media’s reports would cause theattentions of authorities and public and push the ecological and environmentalproblems to be solved.Karl Marx believed that people’s understanding of the laws of nature is not easy, but gradual. In the past65years, the thought of relationship between human andnature has been changed a lot in Chinese media. It used to be anthropocentric-oriented,but now it is ecological-oriented.In the future, Chinese media should pay more attention on the process ofconstructing ecological civilization in the form of criticizing and positive publicity.
