Furnace as the most important industrial thermal processing equipment in the steelproduction process, its main purpose is giving the billet for heating to reach the temperaturedistribution of the billet, which achieves the rolling requirement, so that the finished steel willmeet the quality requirements in the subsequent step. The control quality directly impacts thequality of the finished steel, the yield of the billet and the effective operating rate of the totalproduction process.Under the current situation of the energy supply increasing, and increasingly stringentstandards of exhaust emissions, developing new technologies to improve the energy efficiencywhile reducing emissions has become an important research topic. Regenerative furnace ismainly used high temperature air combustion technology to recovery high temperature fluegas to heat combustion gases of the air/gas, which produce and development meets therequirements of the times, the gas temperature can reach800~1000℃aboveafter preheating,and the oxygen content of the high temperature air is normally between21%~22%,whichincreases the combustion temperature of the fuel theoretically. After preheating and getting itinto the furnace, the high temperature combustion gases makes the gas fully burn in hightemperature and low oxygen environment, which can effectively improve the energyefficiency and reduce the emissions of NOXgases.Based on the characteristics of regenerative furnace combustion process, this paperpresents a pulse combustion control scheme based on a combination of classical controltheory and fuzzy control.Instead of using traditional double-cross limiting control,theprogram uses pulse combustion control method to research the furnace combustion,commutation control strategy, temperature control and gas pressure control;using the Matlabsoftware to build the simulation model of burning fuzzy PID control system; swapping systemby timing queue commutation control strategy and temperature control commutation scheme;with the Step programming software to designed temperature control system, pipelineconstant pressure control system and commutation control system; with the Wincc Configuration Software under the furnace process requirements, the topic creates the systemvariables and part of the monitor screen. Comparison with conventional control scheme,it canbe seen that it reduce the overshoot and oscillation of the system by using the control schemeof the combination of the fuzzy PID and pulse combustion control; It can control the firecontrol quality when heating and burning by using the pipeline control strategy; It caneffectively solve the controlling problem of failure burner and bye burner group by using thetiming queue commutation control strategy, which also improves the flexibility and stabilityof the controlling system.
