Titanium and titanium alloy has an important strategic significance to anational defense, economy and the development of science and technology. Knownas"modern metal" and "strategic metal", industrial level of titanium development isan important manifestation of the comprehensive strength of a country. Theproduction of TiCl4chloride, from rich titanium material, is an extremely importantsegment of titanium industry, whose degree is directly related to the economic andsocial benefits of a titanium smelting factory. There are two kinds of chlorideprocess, fluidizing chlorinationand and fused salt chlorination. The previous one ismore advanced, but mainly used in low calcium magnesium material.This issue is based on the preceding experiments and numerical simulationin Tianjin Botian Chemical Co., Ltd With titanium richmaterial in China’s Panzhihua (CaO+MgO≥5%), hot pilot experimental studywere carried out to develop new technology and device of chlorinationprocess using titanium resources of higher content of calcium and magnesium. tosolve the problem of adhesion in high calcium and magnesium rich titanium materialduring the process of chlorination, and to improve production efficiency. which canbe used as a basis of amplification for engineering dynamics model and transmissionmodel.This thesis focuses on the Chlorination process using fluidized bed for theTiCl4producing. In order to reduce the residence time of the solid phase in thefluidized bed reaction zone, greatly improve the device capacity, turbulent bed ofsemi dilute phase was used instead of the circulating pipe implementing a junctionof gas-liquid flow in fast fluidized bed. In order to solve the adhesion problem ofconventional bubbling fluidized bed, the slag operation, no deadzone distribution board, andreplacement type floating baffle operation wereapplied in the process equipment design,which provide guidance for industrialproduction.
