A large number of fault-blocks exist in our country. In generally, this kind of reservoirhas characteristic of fault-developed, structure fractured, poor stability of sand body in lateraldistribution and taking up smaller range and oil layers scattered.In case of the oil fields gointo high-water cut stage and the oil distributed in layers or between layers is extremelyfragmented, in-depth profile control is not only able to adjust water injection profile andenhance oil displacement efficiency but also one effective way to get the remaining oil ofthe main sand with high water cut. The nitrogen foam could block large fracture andwater,also both be active water drive and gas drive, which could adjust the water absorptionprofile and change the direction of flow in the reservoir and enhance the swept volume and oildisplacement efficiency.So we can say that nitrogen foam is a good deep profile controlagent.Lin106-1Block in LinPan oilfield belongs to that kind of the fault-block reservoir.Based on the geology and production data, reservoir3D geological model is built with thehelp of reservoir simulation software. And geological reserve matching error is about2.4%.The cumulative oil and the cumulative liquid matching error of the single well is less than10%. This model can reflect reservoir geological characteristics of Lin106-1fault-block,which laid the foundation for subsequent nitrogen foam parameters optimization research.On the basis of chosen3profile control wells, with the use of numerical simulationtechnology and orthogonal design, we can opitimize the injection speed, injection amount andgas-liquid ratio,injection method and the alternating cycle of nitrogen foam. According to theresults of optimization parameters, we could predict the overall effects. Then compare thenitrogen foam in deep control profile with water flooding, we notice that the nitrogen foamin-depth profile control technology could enhance the oil recovery by about2.671%.
