Development And Study On Properties Of Wall Materials Desulfurization Gypsum

The FGD gypsum mainly composed of CaSO4·2H2O is the by-product of wetdesulfurization in thermal power plant. With the wide application of the desulfurization,the FGD gypsum has become another major solid waste after fly ash. Turning the FGDgypsum into new light wall materials is a major way consume the FGD gypsum, bothenergy conservation and environmental protection.In this paper, the researcher bringsforward two methods to consume the FGD gypsum based on the research results on thelight wall materials both at home and abroad,the strong support of national reformpolicies and the development trend of new light wall materials.1、Industrial waste FGD gypsum, fly ash, a small amount of cement and expandedpolystyrene particles are mixed to reduce weight and ensure the strength of FGDgypsum blocks. The mechanical properties and apparent density of the FGD gypsum areobtained through the experiment. The experimental results show that,the optimal ratio:0.42%of lignosulphonate calcium water reducers,0.12%of retarder,15%of cement,10%of fly ash,75%of gypsum,25%of polystyrene particles. Light desulfurization gypsumblock of964kg/m3and10.1Mpa of28d compressive strength can obtain.2、Foam concrete materials is prepared with FGD gypsum and cement mixed withpolypropylene fibers,hydrogen peroxide as a foaming agent. With50%of the FGDgypsum, the density of the foam concrete blocks can be as low as722kg/m3,7dcompressive strength is3.1MPa,28d strength is4.0MPa,thermal conductivity is0.20W/m·K.According JC/T1062-2007standard of foam concrete blocks, the density of foam concrete blocks we prepared suits the requirements of grade B07, the thermalconductivity (dry) comply with the requirements of grade B08, compressive strengthcan also meet A3.5.
