The tower is an important equipment in petrochemical industry.The shape ofchemical tower is often present in high soft state,and often work in open fieldareas.The load added to it are the static gravity loads, wind load and earthquakeload.So the dynamic calculations of the tower is necessary after the tower design andbefore installation. In this paper, take a high-rise distillation tower as the researchbackground based on the study of the energy dissipation properties of shape memoryalloy(abbr. SMA), the model of dynamic SMA controled high rise tower is established,the damping effect of shape memory alloy applied to the of chemical tower is analyzedand obtained a reliable result that is useful for actual engineering. The main work isfollowed.(1) In the first chapter the research status of high-rise structure vibration control issummarized. The methods of structural vibration control on high-rise structureslisted,the traditional control methodsare compared with the intelligent control methods. Thecomparison finding that the new vibration control method has better applicability inEngineering. Thenthe use in the research of vibration control is introduced Throughthe analysis of the proposed control scheme means to provide reference basis for theshape memory alloy control method of this paper.(2)In the second chapter the basic mechanical properties of shape memory alloyintroduced. Including the super elastic effect, shape memory effect.And willprovidereference for the design of shape memory alloy control device.In addition,structural dynamic calculation also need consider the shape memory alloy with stableperformance state,For example(3) In the third chapter,a vibration control scheme of chemical tower on shapememory alloysis designed.A cable structure vibration control of the high-rise tower isused.The SMA cableis added to the top of tower, it deforms together with chemical tower deformationIn order to make deformation together with the tower. Thus usingsuper elastic properties of shape memory alloy to absorb energy and reduce vibration.(4)In the fourth chapter,the effect of vibration control device is analyzed.Thedynamic equation of the control system is established.Newmark integration method isapplied to calculate the dynamic equation.And the MATLAB software program iswritten to simulate the dynamic equation.First, the free vibration and harmonicresponse results of chemical tower of SMA cable are analyzed, then ordinary materialcable were replaced and the two kinds of cable free vibration and harmonicresultscompared.
