The degree of crude oil reserve recovery is50%in oil layer after polymer flooding,The remaining oil after polymer flooding is of still relatively large exploitation value.Recently, the research method of remaining oil distribution and potential after polymerflooding still has some shortcomings, for example the research method is simplifyingand research emphasis is not prominent etc. This paper takes the Y layer system forexample, mainly using the reservoir numerical simulation technology after polymerflooding, with the help of all sorts of laboratory findings and the analysis results offield dynamic monitoring data as constraint conditions and the system with a varietyof research methods, the numerical simulation model is established and historymatching is done. at the same time development characteristics after polymer floodingare analyzed on Y layer system, Then we get the remaining oil distribution afterpolymer flooding and the development potential of Y layer system. To provideeffective and accurate analysis method and steps of remaining oil distribution afterpolymer flooding for the oilfield studies. I completed the main research work asfollows:(1) I do literature research at home and abroad research status on the the roles ofresidual oil distribution and the potential of further exploitation after polymerflooding;(2) I analyze the development characteristics after polymer flooding of Y layersystem, Including the division of development phase after polymer flooding, thedivision of classification results well and influence factors analysis of oil welldevelopment effect;(3) By using the method of numerical simulation combined with laboratoryanalysis of the research results establish accurate model of Y layer system, historymatching, including early history matching of water flooding and history matching ofpolymer flooding stage,and evaluating the historical matching precision; (4) Based on the model building and the characteristics of polymerflooding,studing the remaining oil distribution after polymer flooding anddevelopment potential of Y layer system, including the distribution features of theremaining oil after polymer flooding,laws and control factors of remaining oildistribution after polymer flooding,used to deploy adjustment wells description ofremaining oil distribution after polymer flooding.
